So I'm assuming the clutch claw isn't returning in MH Wilds?
Saw the new video today and the mechanics presented were the same as softening the hides whilst clinging on with the clutch claw.

If that is the case I like that change. That mechanic in World feels a bit clunky and breaks the flow of combat for me personally.

Granted though, I haven't seen all of the videos so maybe the clutch claw could've been in one of them but I just missed it. So enlighten me if that is the case .

For now they are using it just for gather some plants around the map.

Yep. The tenderize mechanic is now just a seemless part of the combat. Hit the same part of a monster a bunch and it becomes tenderized.

Further streamlining, nice. Can't wait for a mod to remove the claw model entirely so it looks like wireless gathering lmao.

yep.
I make software. I code. Stock market analysis tools, video games when I'm bored... I do a lot of it for me. If you want somethig specific, then you're looking at a commisison. Why?

Because what I know cost me 1000's of hours pouring over manuals, trying stuff, having it not work, pulling my hair out trying o figure it all out. It cost me something.

Now you want all the benefits of that effort, without putting in the effort yourself, then I'd want something in return, too.

If I make something for me, but post it publicly, that's fine. But you you want something that I don't care for, that sounds like 'work'. I don't work for free.

i dont think the claw is a thing anymore, which is great.

glad to see it.

i kind of want to see what people have to say about the drm, i'm not going to keep the game if the first town area plummets to 12 fps this time lol.

overpraising your work while clicking the wrong thread to reply to. priceless.

there's some things in life money can't buy, for everything else there is a master card(tm)

The slinger will just be like base world. Some people will use it as their main weapon all because they don't want to die while in close range.
legacy_1 Aug 5, 2024 @ 7:29pm
Some of the clutch attacks on certain weapons take way too long to perform. The wounding mechanic in wilds makes more sense that you continually attack the same part to wound is much better. I actually hope they keep the slinger mechanic they had in icebourne. Not the wall slam thing but the atk combos with slinger.

Dropping the clutch claw is fine.
I still want to fly 500 feet into a monster and lance it just like the clutch counter. Seikret dashing attacks when?
The slinger can loot things, which looks sick. If lance can finally loot without sheathing, their life would be so much better. The 2 min despawn timer sucks, why do computers have worse data retention than a goldfish?

damn that's crazy.
it looks super hype, clutch claw was such a meaningless addition im very glad to see it gone / osmosis'd into normal combat
hopefully they don't add clutch claw 2.0 into wild's expansion a year after release though LOL

Can't wait for the reviews of Wilds "Clutch Claw was so much better", "miss the tenderizing".

That'll be the meta shakeup for the later expansion, I'll wager.
