Frostfang Barioth weapon
Gold Rath armor (Divine Blessing+ mainly)
and as mentioned, Blast Resistance is non-negotiable.
It's been too long since I fought the monkey, and I only did it once. Rajang just stresses me too much for me to enjoy that fight (either version)
I say go there and keep trying until you're comfortable with the fight.
Outside of that I'd recommend luring him to the lava geyser when it gets ready to erupt as that can dish out some decent damage to him if he sticks around for the full duration. I'd also try to get 3 ranks of tool specialist since those mantles can be a life saver.
Also when he goes to the last area I go and restock, then come back in a ghillie mantle, set up traps while he is unaware of me (and have my bugcage wielding palico do the same), and then start of the fight by wallbanging him and dumping as much damage into him as possible before he can path to his designated punching spot to start the last phase of the fight.
On top of it put on max divine blessing, ignore what those tryhard hunters said, they probably secretly using them to but to ashamed of themselves to admit it. Too big of a loser with an even bigger ego.
Rocksteady mantle (90 sec uptime)
-crowd controls the monster by wall flinching
-dps without flinching like a chad (negates wind and roar too)
-dmg received reduction (like a mini Divine Blessing)
-180 sec cooldown w/ TS 5 (w/c is exactly the uptime of Glider Mantle, hence the 0 sec cooldown interval)
Rider mantle (180 sec uptime)
-crowd controls the monster by mount flinching (at least once per uptime)
-2 big fat jewels
-fly t-posing to assert dominance towards the monster
-60 sec cooldown w/ TS 5
hope it helps ^_^
goodluck happy hunting o7
Nope, anti blast is a must for Raging Brachy.
For the monke, anything works. it come down how to spend your gauge effectively without getting punish.
That said divine blessing lvl 5 isn't too shabby with its 60% damage reduction and 40% activation rate.
Dont even need blast resistance.
Use P2 or P3, tenderize tail. Shoot tail.
