How often do you switch weapons?

Out of curiousity of how others play the game: How often do you switch weapons, if at all? Main one only, switch maines every now and then, or monster specific even?

I swap between 5 different weapons. Sometimes based on what I'm just feeling that day, sometimes based on what I'm fighting.

I don't main or switch weapons. I just play whichever weapon I feel like playing at any given moment. That can mean playing through half the story with a single weapon, or doing just a couple of hunts and playing something else.

I Use HBG if I'm grinding Guiding lands or specific monsters for Layered armor, Otherwise I try to use a different weapon each day and go join a bunch of Sos.

I'm not endgame though, I'm middle of Master Rank somewhere.

But I play Hammer, Bow, Charge Blade, Insect Glaive, Great Sword, Switch Axe and Sword and Shield lol

Play Long Sword and go for the head no matter what, Just like the rest do >:)

Playing through the story and the like I generally stick to 2-3 main weapons. After that I swap almost every hunt with the monster effecting my choice as well. But I still generally stick to my mains.

Throughout the story I've mained IG, LBG, and HBG. Nowadays I kind of just play sticky lbg just to burn some time and help out. I don't really switch from lbg anymore.

I practiced a bit with all of them but then I stuck to SnS for the entire game. My new save file was gonna be a Glaive user but I felt like I understood it too quickly within a couple of hunts, so now It's gonna be a Bow file and I'll play the whole game that way.

Bow is ez pz until it's not, but dragon piercer is super satisfying to use,

Oddly enough that's the weapon I do the worst with, just can't get it to flow for me and the dodge feels weak. I'd probably need to run evade extender MAX or something.

Looking at Wilds though I could totally see me being a SwAxe / Bow main, SwAxe looks SO GOOD in Wilds.

You must be hyped for HBG in Wilds, it looks insane imo!!

Fair im not the best with Long Sword either.

at 1st before endgame some monsters forces me to switch weapon here n there, but noawadays i just always switch weapons on any hunt, cuz using the same wpn especially mains now for me is kinda boring lol

i prty much use every weapon now, sometimes depending on mood too

Took greatsword at start, then, I think somewhere after zorah magdaros I picked up dual blades, stays those 2 with mostly greatsword until defeated Shara ishvalda, and then trying all other weapons afterward because weapon drop from kulve and safi

I didn't know so many switched regularly. I though people stick more to their faves.

MHW was my first MH and I while I did try most of the weapons in the training area, I clicked most with DB. Played through the whole campaign solo before jumping into mp.

Restarted now and wanted to try something completely different. So I went with HBG. Having an absolute blast.

And hearing how a lot of you keep switching around I might do just that and try not to be so focused on one only.

Was a Bow user until HR Nergi, then swapped to LBG until around Iceborne, then both my main and alt hunters have basically been Glaive mains since.
I've been swapping in some HBG, and still try to play Bow and LBG some.

At one point I was going to craft all the Shara weapons in order to use those to practice new weapons, but that kinda fizzled.
