Guiding Lands Carting
When you cart in the guiding lands the game says rewards are decreased. Does anybody know if it referring to monster loot, feystones or anything else?

It can be anything that you'd receive as a reward after reporting the hunt to the Handler. But you only lose a couple of items so it's really not that big of a deal. The penalty resets once you report.

I've seen people say that the reward penalty stays for each monsters you kill between dying and reporting, so it may have a bigger effect if you fight many monsters, so better report after the hunt to be sure.

i'm not 100% on what is lost, but what the datamining has shown is that its 'only if you've started a monster fight' and 'only for the monsters you're fighting.'

so if you hit all 3 monsters on the map, and died, you decreased rewards for all 3.

included, if you fight a monster, die once, then go fight another monster, your rewards are decreased for both monsters.

so to limit your woes, report often. Finish the hunt and report the investigation then your 'rewards have been decreased' debuff goes away.

don't keep hunting with a 'rewards have been decreased' debuff... afaik it will keep decreasing rewards for all the monsters you continue to hunt if you dont report it to reset it!!!

note that if you want to die twice before hunting a monster to proc your fortify jewel, that wont affect your hunt 'IF' you haven't hit a monster yet.

Defeating a monster gives bonus rewards when you turn it in. Carting reduces those rewards. I think the rewards are tracked per player, so you can never hurt others via carting.

Fortify and geologist 1 are incredible perks for GL. Fort will only last an hour and doesn't reliably reapply, but 20% damage 30% defense is always busted. Geologist 1 gives 2 chances to loot per shiny, and shinies are the reason you're in GL in the first place.

its just the reward you get after you report to the handler. you still get 3 carve for t1 to t3 monster and 4 carve for elder and you still get RNG drop rate for shinny well that why we used geology. and capturing reward is still rng.

Beating a monster will give you like 3-4 rows of extra rewards from turning in the hunt to the handler at camp in GL. Each cart reduces those rewards by about a row until you are receiving the minimum of one row of rewards or so after your 3rd cart. It won't affect drops during the hunt or carves and stacking Fortify can help a great deal with grinding out those Streamstones/Spiritvein Gems from Tempered monsters so don't worry about it too much.
