whats max MR Rank?

Took me around 2K hours but if you specifically set out to farm rank it might be a few hundred hours shorter. Maybe.

at what point does HR and MR stop mattering? or do you continue to acquire access to more things based on the higher they get?

MR 100 for having access to all GL drops for upgrading things and unlocking a few pieces of armor

MR 24 for, like, all the event quests for some godforsaken reason.

HR stops mattering at 50, MR at 100.

The final optional quest is unlocked at MR 200, with a tempered Teostra, Lunastra, Velkhana and R. Nergigante.
You get quests that unlock the final mantle upgrades at MR 125, 150 and 175.

Beyond about MR 300-500, deco collection start to fill up and most people above that range will have whatever decos they need to complete whatever builds they want or find a way to shuffle around it.

Well, if youre going for "full completionist" then it'd be HR100 and MR200 for the "final optional quests"

but you can do everything with hr100 and mr200!
