Best Hammer before Shara Ishvalda

Which one is it again? I think it was acidic glavenous with non-elemental boost, but if that's not true anymore, could anybody pls correct me?

You might be able to get the Guild Palace hammer which I think is the best until Safi. Otherwise Pukei hammer is a solid and easy choice.

mhm, I just compared upgraded guild palace with maxed out acidic glavenous, upgraded guild palace has 15% afinity while acidic glavenouse maxed out has 0, but acidic glavenous has 100 raw damage more.
Not sure which one is more significant tbh.

acidic glavenous is the max damage hammer pre fatalis with the teo touch+brach armor. Getting high affinity is very easy. Have both of them and tested it and i can see it.

They were talking about Raging Brachy armor, and you need to beat the main story for that. Acid Glav hammer is still best iirc but it can be annoying since it's so handicraft reliant. I think pre-Shara you could do Kaiser b+ head/arm/waist, Kirin b+ chest, and like whatever you wanted for legs tbh. Try to get as close to 100% crit as you can but if you're running Handi 5 you probably will only get 95%. Like I was able to make this[honeyhunterworld.com] and I'm sure there's a more optimal pre-Shara set but you could also just beat Shara and make a proper set so yea. You could also just not run Handi5 on that note because white sharpness works fine and you're probably going to upgrade immediately after Shara anyways.

thanks a lot. Am not quite there yet with my current character anyways, I'm just about ready to fight Brachydios and Tigrex for the first time. Just trying to do some long-term planning, upgrade a hammer in the right tree etc.
