Health Bar doesn't increase from food

I've had this problem since yesterday: If I eat from the canteen and it says that I should get a 50 point boost to my stats, my health bar stays at the original length when I enter a map. Anyone else had this problem before?

I let steam check my game data for problems, deinstalled completely and reinstalled but the problem stays.

Press ESC/Menu button and you should see how much health you have as a number on the right side. You can have a max of 50 from food/nutrients/max potion, and 50 more from health boost skill.

Are you eating fresh ingredients? You can tell if the food item is a fresh ingredient by the green outline surrounding.

You get 50 health increase for eating all fresh ingredients and 50 stamina increase for just eating. If you want health increase, you either have to

1. Eat chef's platter
2. Use a gourmet voucher
3. Select the fresh ingredient.

Did you change your armor recently? If the old one had Health Boost and new one does not, then it will look like the bar isn't increasing, while it is, only the base and limit are both now lower.

yea did u by any chance have a health boost skill then removed it? bc it will look the same

Eating a steak does not increase your overall healthbar.
