[FATALIS] Fire Res VS Dragon Res?
I've heard so many conflicting things regarding this. I'm hoping that this Discussion will finally make things clear. I know this has the potential to start a "keyboard war", since everyone has different experiences with Fatalis. Please try to keep it civil.
(My build is already optimized and I'm using a Switch Axe.)

What is a better defense against Fatalis. Fire Res or Dragon Res?

Fire Res, Fatalis doesn't do dragon damage

That's one of the main problems. I had people telling me that this is BS and that he does dragon damage. Is there some sort of Wiki or similar to prove this?

It's not a thing about "different experiences with Fatalis", who said dragon res is useful was on drugs.

White Fatalis is not in the game so you only need Fire Res, Fatty only does Fire damage.

If you want more of a confirmation here: https://mhworld.kiranico.com/monsters/jA8SZ/fatalis

Scroll down to attacks, almost at the bottom.

Alright makes sense. I've basically been told twice that his melee attacks deal dragon damage. I wiil add fire res to my build (hope 24 is enough).

Thanks everyone!

Fire res is definitely more useful :)

I currently have 24 fire res and over 40 dragon res because I wasn't sure lol.
Best of both worlds I guess. All that's left is a good team to finally finish the game.

Thanks for being nice! Fatalis "build" discussions tend to heat up real quick sometimes.

I have the feeling the person who said his melee attacks deal dragon damage was talking about Alatreon lol.

Yeah, the main reason people can get heated, is there is a fine balance you.neednto find between defense and offense in this fight, as you need to 1) not die, and 2) beat that 30 min timer :)

But that balance is going to be different depending on playstyle and skill, this fight forces you to play aggressively :)

Three different people actually (1 fire res guy VS 2 dragon res guys). Basically had a VC fight in the lobby about it. Had to leave halfway through because it got too heated.

Hoping I'll get better randoms in future teams.

In older games he did dragon damage so they are probably assuming he does in this but he doesn't.

I'm already familar with the moves and tactics. My main problem currently is that I'm wasting too much time healing. Let's see how this new build with fire res will do.
