Is it actually doing anything ? Even with 4 people i only see it topple one time but velk quickly gain his aura back and spend the majority of the hunt doing its super ice breath attack .

It can but like i said , most of my hunt can only do it one time , there is no stopping it from gaining second aura .

This reminds me once again on how Elder Seal builds up. Like does it work like elements meaning DB would be best for building it?

I don't think I've seen a second proc of elderseal happen. Also, a knockdown isn't necessary for elderseal to activate, you can tell when the blue tint on the visuals goes away.

It doesn't topple it. It deactivates the aura that tinges the screen blue. The higher level aura AT Velkhana has the more damage it deals and apparently also takes less.

I'm pretty constant with my damage and don't believe I've ever seen the effect proc more than once per hunt, but given the hunt has a 30 minute timer and Valkhana is kinda all over the place then chances are I've just yet to see it proc more than once. Certainly a boost when it does though. Enough of a boost that I believe this is by design to keep you from chewing through Valkhanas health too quickly, yet something you don't wanna let pass up and quite possibly this greed will lead to you carting.

It usually only activates once per hunts and I've only seen it activate twice on one occasion.
It is definetly doing something as it keeps her aura under control and prevents it from reaching the highest level.

I highly recommend using the elderseal weapons for AT Velkhana.

Yes it does . When using DB i activate it twice, which is super fun to watch as it topple. Using other weapons so far i only manage to topple it once.

I usually get Velkhana to do its nude topple twice per hunt with Fatalis's longsword.

You topple it by destroying it's ice armor, not by Elderseal. Ice broken on 3 parts = topple.

Decos won't add Elderseal to weapon that doesn't have it. It just boosts existing one. So, yeah, you need a weapon with Elderseal.

Sticky ammo to its head is the better "elderseal".
