Although the GL is faster, it's definitely not as fun as murdering a Zinogre that seems to have difficulties staying angry for more than 30 seconds lol, wallbangs galore!
hmmmmmmmm.
are these shinies... affected by Geology 3?
But I'm going to assume no.
1 point affects bone piles, shinies from GL monsters count as bone drops (but not for ALL shiny drops off monster in GL because those do NOT drop bones.)
so 3 points to get a boost from a mining node, dragon coal is essentially all that drops from the shinies AND the carve (but i'll assume carving master for that part.) the logical conclusion would be at the very least shiny drops should act as mining nodes.
i'll have to poke this tomorrow and see. i've grown too fond of my fatalis armor set, i havn't had the desire of doing a good luck carving set with geology 3 in it for this quest just to see if there is a possibility.
It might be better using a capture master + luck set instead and just gaining bonus rewards from the capture though, might be more reliable I dunno.
Does Geology 3 work on a downed Radobaan or Uragaan?
I know they picked Zinogre because he was the most hunted, also picking Brute Tigrex because he was the least hunted, but it would have made more sense to put an extremely chill giant Uragaan into the arena and have a quest where the mechanic was knocking him down and then mining his belly / back for lots and lots of coal, lol. He'd calm down quick so you could wallbang him lots for more mining opportunities.
But I guess he's a vanilla monster and Zinogre is an Iceborne monster, so it makes more sense thematically to have Zinogre there.
They are, least hunted(brute tigre) will be the next quest.
If you're like me, who didn't farm him for decos, he's pretty "fresh" as not many quests require it. lol But I can see it be really annoying if you wasted so much time on him already.
