Does Cheat Engine actually still work for this game?

Hey:)

I didn't really found any Discord Server or good Youtube Video with an active commentary section so I need to ask here..

I did not played Monster Hunter World for like 8 months. A friend asked me recently if I would like to play with her, but sadly I haven't much time to farm all the stuff atm but actually still want to play the endgame content with her.. so therefore I would like to cheat some Items and fasty progess by using Cheats in private sessions,

I tried installing Cheat Engine and all the bypass Stuff but nothing worked. The first time I tried, my game crashed after I activated some Cheats in Cheat Engine and tried to save and the second with the bypass installed, the game crashed instantly after loading.

So I wonder, is there any way to actually run Cheat Engine at the moment and use Cheats at all? I'm not really into that stuff and since there are Youtube Videos from like a few few days ago in which people even cheated in online games, I know it must be possible..

Maybe anyone can help me who is more familiar with Cheat Engine or modding in MHW in general? c:

I didn't read anything just the title and quick answer is, of course you can use it, but I would rather use mods or a trainer instead of cheat engine, check out fling on flingtrainer com for a good trainer

Why not just use mods for items and a trainer to onehit kill instead of having a program that could get you banned if some other specific games detect it and which is ultimately useless on this game?

Thank you very much:) I will try it out and see if it works. Do I still need the bypass stuff since Fling Trainer is online for offline mode?

it's not only for offline mode, it says so but most stuff works online as well. There are no ban or limitations even if you cheat in this game so don't worry, the worse that can happen is that your save file gets corrupted (in fact I always do a backup). You just have to install stacker's loader and another thing (you will see how it's called on the stacker loader page)

Idk about cheats, I’m sure there’s one shot weapons on nexus though.

Look up stracker's loader, it and some files it points to are necessary for a proper bypass now IIRC.

or just ignore those posts because capcom isn't against modders so don't come to be a d1ckhead here thanks ^^. Everyone does what he wants, if you find a cheater in your lobby you can simply kick him, capcom gave tools to everyone to respect his preferences. They aren't against modders, but they are against cheaters. They are fully aware of the difference. However, the only official stance they've given is that alterations to the game are not supported and that if you somehow break your game or corrupt your save they are not liable nor will assist in any way to correct the issue. Once you add a mod or cheat you're on your own if problems come up later.

Just gonna highlight that just having endgame weapons won't make you an endgame player.

I hope you realise that the recent endgame content are all gonna 1 to 3 hit you for quite number of their moves even if you are using endgame gear.

So, I don't know if your friend likes cheaters or is fine with you cheating to play with her but you are gonna be found out when you play.

8 months is a long time and I don't know how much muscle memory you got left.

As far as "anti-cheat" measures are concerned, you do get booted off to offline mode if the game detects any abnormalities but only easy partbreak & one hit kill on trainers. Can't say much about manipulating values through mods.
