I don't get why the developer team decided against that with all shield wielding weapons. Not to mention massive chip damage and knockbacks.
Balancing is indeed their FORTE.
The CB is a really good choice against AT Velkhana, especially the Fatalis CB. I finished the fight a lot faster with the CB then I did with the GS.
The fight is also a bit more difficult then I anticipated and AT Velkhana is definetly tougher then AT Namielle.
I did notice that a lot of people who do this fight online are very underprepared. You need to use elderseal as otherwise you'll be unable to weaken the aura. I also noticed that a lot of people didn't use endgame sets and a lot of people were a bit undergeared for a fight of this magnitude. This is always the case with AT elders though and I always do these fights solo for that very reason.
I've already gotten the armor set and it's a pretty great set! It will be an excellent choice for my frostcraft GS build. It's still a niche set and it certainly isn't better then the Fatalis set, but that was to be expected.
Unless you mean the one it sprays on the ground then yeah that one is annoying and pretty much impossible to avoid.
Can you block the breath if the aura is low or is it impossible to block this attack?
Maybe it's got something to do with Velkhana having a high aura as each level of the aura amplifies the breath attacks in addition to making Velkhana more resilent to damage.
This.
I only did it to open up the layered armors.
yeah, the armor are meh the only thing i spend the voucher are only for waist armor and charm.
I started maining Switch Axe, took me a while to master the weapon but once I did, I have never looked back. Soloed Fatalis with it and kicked the hell out of AT velk in my first try with it without carting.
