Farewell Zinogre Event

So, my thought on this even was that it would be similar to the Greatest Jagras or Lavosioth quest where they rain down jewels galore only difference would be the Zinogre one would drop Tier 4 Jewels. Instead I get a bunch of Dragonvein Ores types . Am I forgeting something here or was this even for farming the ores???

You can get Silver and Gold eggs by using your net on his back when he's down. Otherwise this is the only place to get the big purple coal that's been hidden since the games launch, worth 1000 coal.

It gives about 5000 - 7500 coal on an average run. Works out about the same as doing coal mining in the GL, but it's much more fun. Also you get tickets for three layered headpieces or whatever, too.

He's also mega chill - he doesn't stay mad for very long at all, literally like 20 seconds. Wallbangs galore!

Not to mention, with that coal you can Steamworks all the Melding Tickets you could ever want. Indirect Greatest Jagras event!

Nah I think you're right. I got a big gold, too.

Reward screen and carves and pickups are all coal.

Completely replaces the tedium of running circles in GL mining.

I got a smallest monster update when I killed him the first time (already had both crowns) so I'm guessing he's just really high on the chance to be extremely small or extremely big. So a good event for both crown sizes, coal and eggs, I guess!

I guess that solves my low coal issue in steamworks but I'm a little disappointed to be honest . Was hoping to get the last bit of tier 4 jewels. Guess I'll bring my butt back to the Seliana cache with the Elder Dragons.

I always need ton of coal and no time running around GL gathering coal , this quest also give the best coal of all .

Had both a smallest and largest Zinogre hunted update to my records since playing this quest, so I'm going to go ahead and say he definitely seems to have a bigger chance to be at the extreme ends of size in this quest, maybe more so than you can normally encounter too.

Spend hours farming fuel in GL yesterday because I forgot the event was starting this week.

Realize I could have ran this quest in probably half the time or less and received the same amount.

basically its a more active and less boring way to get steamworks coal. also possible to get great spirit vien gems. so its multitudes better than simply going mining in the GL.
