New to the game
Being a new player and learning that a new version will be out soon called Monster Hunter Wilds got be depressed, knowing capcom is giving up on this game I had just bought and one I'm excited to get into and play.
Will they can this game once the other comes out, or will they still keep it running?

This is a single player game with a year of free updates, then an expansion with another year of free updates on top of that. This isn't an MMO, and it is not a live service game. Updates for this game ended years ago, and people still play it. You'll be fine.

Free? I paid 69 dollars for it a few weeks ago, and still buying outfits and gender changes, also you can join other players lobbies so it is online when you want it to be.

Yes, free.

I bought the game at launch, and they spent an entire year putting out additional updates that did not cost anything.

Then I bought the expansion at launch, and they spent another year adding free content.

The game is primarily a single player game. It just happens to allow co-op in certain areas as well. You can still play the game while offline.

I guess I was talking more about the online aspect of it, hoping they keep that part running when the new game comes out in 2025.

wdym game is alive and have tons of content for free, there are literally new collaboration monster for FREE
also this is single player game first and you should fight every monster solo first
anyway game is alive and you will find players easily after high rank

This game is the most popular game that Capcom has ever made, it's still gonna be online for years even after the next games comes out so you shouldn't worry too much.

Would be an incredible piece of marketing from the part of Capcom if they added something small from Wilds, even if it was just a layered weapon or outfit, into the game at the end of the Return to World campaign. I doubt it though. Most new players are overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to do here anyway.
