PC GPU Artifacts Showing Blinking Orb Lights During Gameplay?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ctgeLRu15uTo1U1sw6Ffz4HHQTi9sLv6/view?usp=sharing

I keep having a visual glitch where randomly I see a quick flashing orb that ranges from red to other colors such as green or yellow. In the video you'll see it happen towards the top right corner of the screen. I don't know if it's an issue with the game itself or if it's my gpu. I hope it isn't a defective gpu since I just had my previous one RMA'ed and this is the new one they sent to me. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there a fix to it?

Cpu: Ryzen 9 7900X 12 Cores

Gpu: 7900 XT (23.12.1 Drivers)

Mobo: Asus Rog Strix B650E-F (1616 Bios)

Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB

PSU: 1000W Seasonic Gold Focus

I dont know about Radeon but if you are using an Nvidia GPU you have to install the previous patch or switch to DX12. Try this first.

I'm guessing the DX12 only fixes it for nvidia because I tried that before but kept getting this on my amd gpu. I had this on a previous older driver as well. 23.11.1 I believe.

The only thing i found it's a problem with drivers/GPU. Do you have this problem with MHW only?

So far I've only noticed it with World. The reason for this is because this pc is fairly new so I haven't tested it on many games. This is why I'm hoping maybe there's a setting in game that might be triggering it? I just don't know.

Try with another game.

Try turning off ambient occlusion and volumetric fog.

I think it's your HDR setting, personally. If you're using 64-bit HDR but your main menu setting for the graphics API is Directx 11 instead of 12, you will have all kinds of horrible visual anomalies - some of them make the game totally unplayable.

If you turn your HDR setting down (I am assuming it's on - it looks like it is anyway) to the 32-bit, or change your API to Directx 12, it should make a difference.

The thing is, if you have driver issues / a driver crash, this game will turn the graphics API in the settings menu back to Directx 11 - and that will screw lots of things up like you're seeing, if you're using the 64-bit HDR. The game then chooses to DEFAULT to DirectX 11 and you have to manually change it any time this happens.

FYI, you will not be able to change this option UNLESS YOU'RE IN THE MAIN MENU. The option to change these settings does not appear if you're loaded a character in-game. You have to be at the main menu for the option to exist at all.

(it also sorta looks like you maxed out your "color" setting in the "Contrast, bRightness, Color" in the display menu - unless it's just due to how you recorded the screen - so if you check in there, and you see color cranked up - you might wanna turn it down a bit)

I'm running my pc with SDR not HDR so I don't believe that has anything to do with it. Im very ignorant on many high end graphical settings like HDR and other things so I typically play with many of those disabled. Im very new to the "high end" of pc gaming so all of this stuff is new to me.

It was the only way I knew how to get the video linked to here. Looking at the video now, it does kind of look awful though. lol
