PSA: Mega Potions are obsolete v Fata. Bring Max Potion ingredients.
Topic. Unless you're a godly hitless speedrunner on heroic.

If you get hit occasionally like mere mortals, quit with Mega Potions. It takes 3 seconds to drink and if you're really low, you'll need to drink TWICE. That's 6 seconds or more in danger of dying. And even after two drinks, they might not bring your health out of danger zone.

What you should use instead are Max Potions. Their usage is INSTANT and guarantees that you're out of 1HKO zone if you have max 200 health.

What you should bring instead are:

Max Potion x2
Mega Nutrient x5 and Mandagora x5

Each Max Potion is worth more than 2 Mega Potions. So you have more than 14 Mega Potions' worth of health.

AND

Dust of Life x2
Gloamgrass Bud x4 and Godbug x4

Each Dust of Life is worth 1 Mega Potion. So you have 6 Mega Potions' worth of health.
Dust of Life will heal your teammates besides.

AND NEVER FORGET

***FARCASTER***

Which will net you 20 Mega Potions' worth of health, with instant usage. You can't complain you're carrying too few healing items now. If you're way below half, Max Potion. If you're not below half, Dust of Life. Don't be stingy. There's no saving for later. THIS is the end.

Put Max Potion (its use, not crafting) and Dust of Life (its use, not crafting) in the radial menu/shortcut. Turn auto-crafting on. There's no need put shortcut for crafting them in the radial menu. Because if you run out, the next time you press use, it will craft one for you.

Now you can have easier time staying alive in Fatalis quests.

This applies to Alatreon, AT Elsa, and AT Nami too. Or any base game ATs for that matter. Also Extreme B-MOT.

Enjoy the hunt.

tbh once you figure out that max potions are easily farmable, the game becomes easy as heck. you pretty much only die if you get one shot or get greedy with health aug.

back in my days, you have to flex after drinking potions

thats common knowledge. not sure whats PSA about this now over 6 months later.

plus the 200 hp is not an IF anymore since level 4 decos became a thing.
if you see someone with not hb 3 on fatty ---> abandon quest. theyll die 100% for certain sooner or later. or theyll afk at camp.

My question is: why aren't you already bringing both?
Grottowalker Feb 14, 2021 @ 12:41pm
I can't bring all that stuff... need my backpack space for boomerangs ....
Walrus-Sama Feb 14, 2021 @ 1:24pm
Considering several of Fatalis common attacks can oneshot you through 200 HP, 1000+ Def and a DB 5 Proc. This advice seems somewhat pointless.

i personally don't do that because spamming maxpotions feels EXTREMELY cheesy.

even without divine blessing only the charged fireballs will one shot you. and none of his common attacks can. are you playing ranged or not breaking his head? that's the only explaination i can think of.

speed eating is mandatory for me.

You should tell this to the people running wide 5 since they don't contribute anything to the hunt and are borderline leeching.

Well they are since you don't have to heal your own sorry ass. Most Fatalis fights is the wide ranger chugging potions trying to keep the team alive.
Although it pisses me off when they don't attack when he is downed. Other than that I'm fine with it.

About helping those who have just reached the end game/Fatalis like, this month, and are still asking for help here on this forum, or via SOS flares, or discord groups. Not arrogant I-already-knew-it-all. Some of those arrogant sods don't even realize that there are constant trickles of incoming new players which will reach end game eventually without this knowledge. You still see their posts asking for help here every once in a while.

Inventory space management. Some people needs the space for whatever reason.

Some also prefer to minimize the number of items appearing on item bar for easy emergency/panic scrolls. Less clutter = faster search.

Some even waste their skill slots on Speed Eating just to get rid of those 3 seconds without realizing there are instant items.

You can still bring Mega Potions along, but a lot of new players don't realize there's almost no reason to use them since there are faster item equivalent/superior with instant usage, unless you're really desperate.

Max potions are op as hell tho and one of the main reasons why balance is wack in this game, I personally don't use them but hopefully someone sees this thread and brings them as even now after months people still cart left and right to Fatalis.

Something that most people seem to miss is how strong the glider mantle can be when used correctly, drop 2 level 4 wide-range decos and everyone benefits from it without you having to become a meme medic.

Glider mantle is ugly, I refuse to use it
