Special Arena quests: captured all monsters, but still missing some arenas to complete

I keep constantly checking the optional quests for the 6 and 7 star quests and none of the quests im missing for completion are appearing. Ive checked if its any other quest and no, its special arena quests im missing.

Capturing the monsters should unlock all of them, and since i've done it, not all quests mustve appeared because its still only saying 'completed!' with the blue text instead of orange/yellow. Is there a way to somehow force them to appear? or can i just not do that and im relying on rng? or maybe im missing something that makes them not appear? (like research)

Not every capture leads to a special arena quest. Some quests like Zorah and Xeno rotate on their own, and they need to be completed too. Etc.

but i still cant get whatever i am missing

Make sure you've captured all the monsters that can appear in 6* and 7* in high rank.

Assuming you do own Iceborne, you're going to be doing that again for the same monsters in master rank.

If you've otherwise talked to all important NPCs, this is the last thought I had. Especially since you mention 6 and 7 star specifically.

Edit: Also, pretty sure all special arenas do not start randomly appearing or disappearing until you've completed them at least once.

Just capture everything again, get the special arena quests to pop up a second time, but do NOT clear them this time. IIRC, they should show the "completed" if you beat them before. Then just double check them against a requirement list.

found out that i was missing specifically 2 monster captures in hr, captured them only in lower ranks by accident

Captures unlock the Special Arena quests for that rank and all lower ranks.
Which makes skipping captures in LR (and even HR) useful for making sure you get all the Special Arena quests.

And yeah, confirming that a Special Arena will always be available once unlocked until it's been completed the first time.

Assuming you're in Master Rank... have to captured Gold Rathian, Silver Rathalos, Yian Garuga and Brute Tigrex? Have you captured Zinogre and Stygian Zinogre?

And if you're still in High Rank for some reason, have you gone to talk with the folks in the Research Station? They have a rather annoying quest chain to deal with towards the end of High Rank pertaining to unlocking booze for the canteen.

... These are the only things I can think of presently.
