Trouble with Geralt of rivia quest
I am having trouble defeating the leesh monster in the game, tried everything I have, nearly defeats it and run away, use flash pod when I can, it just insane.

Problem is the damage that the weapon can do, the default geralt weapons seems to have smaller damage,

I want to try out other type of weapons but I don't know if the other weapons would hurt a lessh monster being what it is ?

anyone ever finish this quest playing as geralt of rivia ?

All weapons hurt it. Bring whatever works best for you.

Ah I see, so they're lore flexible and allow supernatural things to be damaged by non silver ? all right good to know.

ugh predetermined weapon and armor sets, the one that we can recover out in the fields and make are just herbs, potions.. I can get the leesh up to 3 times changes position and after that it is maxed out as in i died out.

How do you expect to survive either bird attack, the lizard spawn, tree roots attack and last tp to your face and hit you with poison attack ? geez

Literally just get good. Also the Leshen is constrained to an area, except I think the very last time you fight it, so if it gets rough, run away and heal.

Learn to use your weapon of choice better. Leshen attacks has tracking so positioning matters. Leshen has long attack recovery after each attack. Use that as your moment of oppotunity. Ignis can clear the jagras pack faster than your weapon.

it's like the monster is tossing everything including the kitchen sink at you, spawn lizards, toss birds at you, even tp to your face because it can and also root attack.. and no use hiding in cover.. as in bam what cover ? I see you.. *smack* XD

Trying to get the tempo right, the monster usually get me when I am drinking potion, hiding behind cover , either with lizards or just blow the cover away and smack me with was it bleeding or was it poison ?

If I hit and run when I run does the monster heals ?

No, monsters don't heal when the player isn't near. There's only one monster in the entire game that actually does that. Behemoth. But that's for another time. You do have 50 minutes for the entire quest. It takes about 10 minutes to find Leshen from all the story cutscenes. Take your time and learn Leshen's telegraphs. A lot of Leshen's attack are in front of it. Staying behind it if you can. This is still monster hunter. So treat it like monster hunter, not Witcher 3.

You ahve to abuse the fire spell of geralt it will make things much easier

1. Use Igni to stun the Leshen and destroy its roots, very important
2. Leave 1 Jagras alive because he can't summon more so long as at least one lives

Came upon this last night. Was really cool playing as geralt. First time i listened to story really.
Failed my first time, the leshen has really small hitbox it seems and i wasnt using Igni on cooldown. Flash pods also work. After learning his moves he was not hard to fight.
When he move to 2nd spot i think you can abuse ledge jumps if you must to mount it. The 3rd location you may can bait him into triggering the trap.
What sucks is if you do die you have to restart it all over.
