How much extra gameplay content do the DLCs offer?

Iceborne pretty much doubles the content, adds a couple moves for every weapon and a new mechanic. All the content can only be played after completeing the base game, so depending on how much you play you can be fine with just the base game for a while and wait for another sale to buy Iceborne.

DLC is just glamour and cosmetic stuff, the only real thing is the ICEBORNE DLC which is a full expansion of the game adding multiple monsters, hunts, activities, and gear for you to craft.

Also includes events and crossovers such as Resident evil, Street fighter, etc. (which do not require the DLC packs that are just skins) you can unlock weapons/skins/armor through the missions and crafting at the vendors.

You get to fight the same exact monsters you fought in the base game plus 10 other monsters. Enjoy.

Not as "massive" as Sunbreak is for Rise but it's decently big.

There is only one actual DLC. Iceborne.

the game is not considered complete without it.

Perfectly playable if you don't own it though. Always can get it down the line.

Sucks that Iceborne isn't even a DLC. It's just an unlock key to do extra content.
