Though as far as anime moves go, i'm assuming you mean rise?
I didn't mind it, it was a nice change of pace. But i am looking forward to returning to a slower paced game again.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't they switch back and forth between styles of MH each gen?
Like the consoles and PC are slow and methodical while the portable versions are more arcadey.
To be like World expansion ++ : x
underwater combat and more marine stuff like monsters and exploration. i was really hoping this next game would be coastal or tropical-themed but i guess not so now instead i hope they're keeping the aquatic biomes & content a surprise lol
i want more of the frontier monsters in the mainline games. even if not the monsters themselves, they could just steal the ideas of them, such as toridcless the moth-astalos which iirc used its wings like solar panels or a mirror or smthn that gathered the solar energy
the other monsters i most want to see are baruragaru, shantien, rukodiora and guanzorumu, and nef-garmat from explore. there's a lot of epic guys from the spinoffs but these ones are my favourites, i just think theyre neat and they look cool
i hope they keep some of the QoL stuff from rise, such as hiding dialogue behind the chit-chat option instead of needing to click through multiple lines of text every time you look at the smithy or quest or etc.
i would like the combat to be more like older games (but with the updated smooth movement ofc) where it's very simple and there's no clutch claw, wirebugs, hunter arts etc etc. I just like to hit the monster ok? keep all the customisability and the complexity behind the armour skills, and keep the main combat simple and easy to understand for everyone pls, my brain is too dead to be reading walls of text to compare skills with eachother and too lazy to need to weaken a monster part thats supposed to already be the weakest part of the monster.
if they want to add more weapon moves skills whatever, they can make a new weapon with them instead? :V
i agree with more diversity in the monsters, i also hope they'll bring back the big guys like jhen and dahren mohran, or introduce some more monsters that you fight on the back of a boat whether that be on the dunes or on the ocean.
i feel like the games were already doing pretty well on that front though (excluding mhw), just need to highlight the other monster types a bit more. maybe shuffle them around a bit too so we get a brute wyvern as a tutorial monster and a raptor pack as a mid-endgame boss, that would be funny
they already overhauled some of the raptors and izuchi & maccau are pretty good at not being idiotic punching bags. great jaggi is a midgame monster in mh stories 1 did you know that? Where is the great jaggi overhaul capcom? Capcom? you can't hide him from us forever...
there's my wishes for the next MH games. for wilds specifically... i hope the bird is a customisable companion. if the dogs are replaced by that, then i'm perfectly fine with it. dogs are cool and all but the bird is just better and i'll argue over it
based on the tiny bit we've seen of the game, it looks a little to me like the hunter is alone and surviving or investigating in the wilds by themselves. as long as they don't turn the game into some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MMO, then im quite happy with that idea. capcom has some excellent open-world games they can draw from, and in fact it does seem like they might be sharing some things with the dragons dogma devs considering what we've seen about that game's sequel too. makes me even more excited for both games lol
DD2 has campsites we'll be able to set up, to restock at and to sleep through the night. i wonder if wilds might have something similar? temporary campsites instead of fixed ones? this is assuming they really play into the open world or 'alone in the wilds' thing. idk, i think it will be interesting either way
also, and i hate to lengthen my comment even more lol, but i read the OP again and realised you mentioned a buildable hub area. I would LOVE a spinoff game where you're building up a town or settlement. you're in charge of setting up a guild branch, building walls maybe, gathering materials not just for construction but trade etc. as well, hunting any dangerous monsters or monsters that are affecting the town eg. maybe iodrome is poisoning the water supply so you gotta go hunt it and get some antidotes while you're there. its like a town builder game, but you're still playing as a specific character and not just some omniscient camera, you know what i mean? i wanna play more games in the MH universe man
16 players sessions returning. Able to set target of session and only quests with that target can be posted while players in that session can't join any SOS. Hate joining a Safi siege for only 10 other players to do something other than safi.
Naked event quests
Slay quests returning, capture will fail the quest.
Beginner Only Server. High Rank can't join the server nor join the SOS.
Shakalaka minions
In coop too !!
Like emote
Capcom comon !
A Social Link system like Persona.
Palia does it nice too i think
they can implement that together with the companion system from Rise. I think that's a pretty good end-game grind for solo players.
Would be fun to build different enclosures and then watch your monsters interact :)
finaly we would get to see which end game monsters would win in a fight sure we get turf wars but they run away after lets see who would actualy win if they couldnt run to another area......and no the monsters that lose would not be removed from your captured list so after the fight you wouldnt lose the monster that lost as that would be too tedious recapturing the same monster
