Is MH World still an active game?

both monster hunter games are still active just world more so right now because they just announced wilds and gave world an event. however matchmaking in worlds is a pain in the ass if your playing it for anything outside sos becon multiplayer. MHW matchmaking is held together by spit and preyar and will drop your connection to the host at the drop of a hat if you are playing outside sos.

been able to average around 20k-40k people over the year and this is 5-6 years after launch. This week it has hit close to 98k people daily. So there is plenty of people playing this game.

Majority of the playerbase is at post credits. Entery Master Rank seems fairly active. Low Rank is almost non existance. High Rank actually have a some SOS flares.

Uh, what? There are tons of low rank SoSes. I would know since I've been helping out with them. You may have been right a month ago but right now there's a ton of players back in Low Rank so your information is out of date.

Make a new character. Find SOS flares that is actually rank appropriate. Defender gear makes solo way too easy for many to throw out SOS.

Just logged in to check and a quick search showed 9 assigned, 3 optional and 2 event SoSes for Low Rank and all rank appropriate (from actual low rank players). And it's currently off-peak hours.

I am a hunter veteran and don't need help on literally any quest but I SOS flare every single one anyway.
