MH:Wilds more like MH:World or MH:Rise?
Really hoping it'll be bigger scale than World/Icebourne... and less limited small scale as Rise.

It clearly looks like it takes more inspirations from world than rise in the trailer, we could see some kind of ecosystem and it's world's biggest thing.
Rise was ok, but I don't really think there's a lot of feature from it that I want to see again, the skills on each weapons were pretty much the only good addition, but I don't want to bring back all the counters.

Well, what do you think of the switch skills that change weapon pattern a little bit ?
Like the new Lance Running with the shield up, or the SnS multi sword hit to replace the shield bash

I personnaly loved those, hope it will stay

The counter for the Charge Blade was one of the only silkbind skills I used, all the rest seemed too situational and I never thought about it. That and I think there was one for the Dual Blades that let you kick off the monster off the monster like in GU.

the passive skills that changed gameplay were good (except the charge blade nerf that made it impossible to have charged sword and spinning axe at the same time)

I didn't enjoy the wirebug skills, i was constantly using them for movement and either felt like i was being punished not using them as they were on cooldown constantly, or bored because my combo was replaced by me waiting for them to be off cooldown to use the big attack

they were way more intrusive than the clutch claw ever was

I just hope that they move away from decoration and charm RNG. They should all just be craftable.

And please just don't do anything like sieges or rampages at all. They played like crap every single time.

That's something we can all agree on I think, RNG systems are just awful.

I'd add guiding lands system to that, concept is cool, but how it was done in iceborne was just not it with area decreasing when you increased others, truly deserve it's grinding lands nickname, hated it as an endgame grind.

I hope more like both. World did some things better as Rise did some things better. I hope they merge the best of both.

This is it right here. Both games brought good things to the table and I hope they carry those goods things over to wilds.

Crazy how there's so many people in teenage girl twilight drama mode "my team(game) is better" when we could be agreeing on what aspects from the games we want to see return in Wilds.

I kinda feel bad for Capcom, half of the playerbase hates World and wants more like Rise and the other half hates Rise and wants more like World. No matter what they do people are likely going to hate it.

Also, I like the Hallways. The lack of them in Rise kind of made me sad, because they're like a staple of MH, even if it was a technical limitation at the beginning.

The only thing I really want is for them to bring back mounting, instead of the silkbinding or whatever it was in Rise. I could never get the mounting without taking advantage of monsters fighting each other, makes it way less common.
Luckily for Capcom it's not half and half.

Player numbers and sales speaks for themselves.

That's why their new MH advertising initiative is literally called 'Return to World'

Well if there's anything big corporations are known for, its a unfeeling adherence to whatever will get the most sales. Still, for a normal person, its an unenviable position. Even if its not directly 50/50, its still not a small number of people that would get the short end of the stick.

It could be one huge map, like Diablo 4. Who knows.
