1. Must have meter
2. The back dash has to dodge an attack roars included (here's your timing), indicated by the blue flash efx
3. Slash must hit something
4. Finish with spirit round slash to advance meter to next level
You do not have any charge in the spirit meter.
Before Iceborne, you do not need charge in the spirit meter.
In Iceborne however, they have nerfed Foresight slash in a way that you need to have at least some red in your meter to pop Foresight slash.
So if I pop it, and the act of doing that uses all thats in my meter, say a tiny bit and now i have none, will it still count?
And its supposed to dodge attacks and negate damage when done properly right?
I'm new to longsword but I've always wanted to be good at it, its just a challenging weapon for me to use effectively.
If you have any amount of meter when you foresight slash, it will have dodge properties and fill spirit gauge if you land the follow up slash after and allow you to immediately go into spirit roundhouse slash to increase spirit gauge.
Eg, namielle supernova count as 3 hits. I was able to foresight it, but then I saw my HP got chipped away twice.
I believe foresight gives a few frames with superarmor as well, because when I took damage from namielle supernova 2nd hit, I didn't flinch at all, it caused me to take another hit, leaving me with ~30% HP.
Iai slash whenever you can, so you won't run out of meter when you need it the most.
lol nope
the iceborne nerf is barely noticeable, you only need to have 10% of meter for it to work wich you will virtualy always have if you use iai slash
