fanboys/apologists/zealots or whatever you wanna call em get triggered by anything that isnt praise. pretty normal for thier type.
Review bombing this game over a single monster is just ridiculous!
Even though I soloed Alatreon myself I dislike his dps check.
Capcom should stop adding these mechanics to monsters and find other ways to make them more challenging
If u feel the need to leave a thumbs down over one of the black dragons not being a pushover u are silly indeed sry!
I disagree that DPS checks shouldn't be a thing.
Going on a hunt is a DPS check. You have 20 minutes to kill targets in some investigations.
Normal hunts you have 50 minutes. Sure expeditions don't put a "timer" on getting "1shot"/"Quest failure" but the monsters can always just leave the area before you "dps check" their HP bar.
Checking reviews from the 9th, I can get Steam to show me 24 out of the 67 negative reviews posted that day by fiddling with the display settings. Of those, 15 are in either Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or a similar language (I can't tell them apart by looking). Of the remaining nine, only three call out Alatreon, explicitly or implicitly (such as "MMO mechanics"). The others are mostly complaining about performance issues or are general Iceborne complaints (monsters too hard, clutch claw sucks, etc.)
Not going to call that definitive either way since I can't read the non-English reviews and there's 43 I can't view at all and am unsure if they were removed or or something else. But in past review bomb experiences though, Steam will flag a period of time as having "an unusually high volume of negative reviews", such as what happened with Borderlands. So, take that as you will.
