Isn't xenojiiva just a baby?
Now that I think of it we see it come out of its egg (or cocoon?) and immediately fight it. Doesn't that mean there could be a much different looking (in color at least) and bigger version if it were to grow into an adult? Just a thought I had after doing a quest fighting it.

Ha ha. Funny you say that...
Xeno is basically a freshly emerged butterfly. Not fully matured yet but not a baby.

Damn, he might be onto something here guys.... I wonder, would it stay the same blue-glowy colour.. or would it change? The wings are definitely reminiscent of a butterfly's... hmmmmm......

Actually, the guys at Capcom already announced that yes, Xeno is a baby. Not a butterfly, an infant, and its fight reflects this in that it's very much "learning to walk" while also "learning to fight".

You're on to something, baby. Keep playing. You'll find out.

Xeno'Jiiva is a baby, if you look at the gallery (not that anyone does) the description for the cutscene where he emerges outright states it, I believe. At the very least, it refers to him as a newborn, I'm pretty sure.

Xeno'Jiiva is basically an onion, just look at the cocoon. It absorbs power, and then sheds a layer of skin, growing slightly smaller each time as it gets older. When it does this enough, it becomes almost bug sized and then we capture them with Pokéballs and then give them to Insect Glaive users, under the pseudonym "True Dragon Soul" or something like that. 100% fact.

What’s scary is just how powerful Xeno’jiiva is for just being an infant.

Considering he is the combined "energy" from thousands of elder dragons that came to the new world to die I'm not surprised.

It's a good thing that we killed that one and didn't let it escape so we can't find out how powerful it becomes when it grows up.

Yeah, it's a good thing that we made sure that body that dropped when the ground crumbled was dead... Right?

Right...?

Kind of off-topic but, random thought,
I wonder if the frenzy virus can bring monsters back to life even if it didn't originally kill them?

A few problems there. 1) Frenzy doesn't work on elders for some reason, at least not from what we've seen. 2) Frenzy doesn't "bring them back to life". Rather, it causes them to keep fighting with an aggression that can't be stopped until the body dies from exhaustion. With said frenzy being further spread through fights as well it allows Gore Magala to feed on the remains of the carnage.
