I just got the most painful experience so far

Nothing compares to it. Coral pukei is a nightmare. I think I spend more time on the ground than I was able to actually fight it. Get hit by water beam, stand up, get hit by a water bomb etc. Damn this was so annoying. Didn't cart once (unless palico revive counts) likely thanks to water resist but I never want to fight this thing again xd

Oh, you met the power washer I think coral pukei feels particularly nightmarish because his moveset is so different from normal pukei, whereas most other variants have very similar movesets to their normal counterparts.
Though, personally, I find nightshade paolumu a lot more annoying than coral pukei.

Both are easy if you take your time to prepair yourself insteed of just jumping head first into the fight and then complain its too hard to play against.

Nightshade is only annoying if you dont move around while it does its face slam on you or dont use anti-sleep charm.

Coral Pukai is just like normal Pukai. Nothing new about him other then his water canon.

If OP think both of those are too frustrating to face then he will be in for a surprice when he face his first wall tha will most likely be the snow leopart monster that deal alot of pain to me when I was new.

Just like any other monster, you get used to its moveset, it's only hard because you don't know what to expect.

Idk, peesonally I found barioth to be a whole lot less annoying than nightshade paolumu. Yes, they are both easy, but they are also still very annoying.

Funny that everyone seems to struggle with either Coral or Viper Tobi but I haven't seen anyone find both hard, personally I struggled more with the latter

Viper tobi is one of my favorites visually, tbh, and marked my first faint in Master Rank, ever. XD Well, Fulgur Anjanath interrupted us, camera zoomed in on it, and when I got back to looking at my character, she was paralyzed and Viper Tobi was ready to pounce

That was like the easiest monster for me.. what did you fight it with? With long sword I just put on bandit mantle and murder it while it roleplays as a fountain or whatever it does

Fast and flying monsters are my bane since all their moving around means less hitting and more walking/sheathing my weapon.

I didn't really struggle with this monster mind you. I was using spread HBG so had to be at close range and at its face.
I tripped so many times by its water attacks its not even funny. The attacks didn't do much damage, but they made sure I was kissing the ground for half the fight probably xd

Nightshade Paolumu wasn't as annoying, just got to flash it when its flying. Way easier to deal with when it's not airborne, like most flying monsters.

The only monsters I actually struggled against so far are Lunastra, Kushala and Behemoth.

Oh, I hit my wall now... it's Kirin, Kushala, and Teostra the event quest with all 3 is a nightmare, but I want all 3 armor sets. For some reason co-op disconnects halfway so that makes it even worse.

at least he's grounded , not like that stupid floating balloon where he's 90% of the time in mid air and he just spams sleeping gas bs... i don't remember if there's anti sleeping gas decorations in this game , i fought him recently and he put me to sleep like 20 times, imagine how fun that was... all he does is sleep gas spam , that's it

literally the most annoying fight in the game

You could just use sleep resistance if you're having that much trouble

Frustrating /= hard

Ebony Odogaron is annoying as hell to hit, but rather easy to dodge. I find him frustrating for the former, but easy because of the latter.
