bow got quite a bad matchup againts fatty so if ya wanna do dmg ya cant really attack the head
And one more thing, like the rest of the endgame bosses, Fatalis has very bad shot type HZVs, so weapons like the bow don't hit as hard as they usually do against normal monsters.
Peak performance isn't that big but it helps. a little.
If you're playing bow or dual blades, you should use elemental damage as well, which would be alatreon weapons.
Other than that, squeezing out a tiny extra bit from crap like attack boost is not worth it. Get it to level 4 for the 5% affinity if you want.
Instead go for more efficiency for your stamina economy. Evade window, evade extender, stamina surge (or whatever the one is called for faster stamina regen), constitution. Increasing your uptime on attacking will help your dps.
Even though you are "ranged", you still want to be close range, almost as close as melee weapons.
Evasion mantle is a big increase in damage as well and very easy to proc, especially when playing ranged with evade window. Tool specialist helps increase evasion mantle uptime.
I don't play ranged ever because it kinda is booty gameplay wise (just my opinion), but there are also a few skills good for ranged/bow specifically that "speedrunners" often use. Normal shots, spread/power shots, bow charge plus, are the only ones I can think of. Actually I think that's all of them lol.
Ultimately your skill is what matters most. If you die once, your "dps" is not going to look good regardless of your build unless you are very good.
