the seething bazel event quest used to give out alot of hard armor spheres, now that that's gone, this usually does the trick of giving a ♥♥♥♥ ton of king armor spheres

steamworks and research bounties stuff are also good ways to get spheres

you can check the descriptions of event quests in-game to see which ones give more spheres too

this quest is garbage compared to 10x steamworks aswell. its never worth doing compared. steamworks is no contest the best method to farm armor spheres. you can also add bountys for some easy hard/heavy spheres as a side effect during normal hunting.

but just abuse guiding lands gather stop method to endlessly farm red gather nodes for like 1-2 hours and youll swim in armor spheres in no time. make a gather setup with a sleep 2 lbg. when useful gl material monster spawns wallbang it 3 times then go back to gathering. thats what i do. but by now ill have like 1000 king spheres as they didnt add anything useful armor wise for nearly 6 months by now sadly.

I get king armor sphere fairly often from helping lower level hunters in their quests; I'd say maybe about a third or a quarter of the SOS runs I do ends with a king armor sphere. I spend most of my play time running SOS hunts, so I have quite a few spheres now. It's particularly satisfying when I find somebody SOSing the Bazel event quest!

yeah weekly bounties is solid, some event quests can reward them in decent amounts as well. steamworks X10 and dumping a lot of fuel is also good. though i tend to do that when a gathering hall event is on for the benefits to steam gains on the meter. same fuel cost, slightly more points earned.

My friend was rather fond of a mod for the steamworks on nexus mod.

You hold down spacebar with the mod running and you always get the successful combination for the steamworks.

You may as well just mod the rewards in if you are going to cheat it to that extent
