I just looked on google how to unlock the rides, and by rides I mean the skill to ride the small monsters from the maps, but all guides said I need to talk to someone on Iceborn town, the thing is Im playing with a friend, he said that never touched that town yet and he unlocked the rides on first map with some mission from the cats, how is that possible and how can I unlock them too? both of us have the expansion of course, but we are still doing the base game.

To unlock raider rides, you need to befriend the locale's grimalkyne tribe. After that, talk with your palico and they'll inform you that they were taught how to do that. Then you can call for one at any time while out of combat with the item bar.

Yeah saw that video before but that needs to do things on iceborne, and we didnt reach yet that point, neither of us... But he has the ability to call the ride on forest and wildspire XD but not me.

It doesn't. Once you unlock the gadget, you talk to your palico a couple times and you unlock access to raider rides. You only need to have Iceborne purchased. You do not need to reach Iceborne content for anything except the Tailraider signal.

Then is a bit weird because the video already tells me to go to hoarfrost reach to do the thing in the first place lol. Which is confusing.

The only time the video mentions Hoarfrost is specifically when gaining access to the raider ride in Hoarfrost, the same way the video tells you how to unlock the ride in the forest, and how to unlock the ride in Wildspire, etc.

If your friend already got it from world zones he can explain to you how he got it.

I must have missed that part then, I just jumped to the part where explains the rider rides and started saying to go to iceborne map but ok, I will try to search for those tribes then
