I finished the game, got a max damage build and a full utility build.
The problem is that stats dictate egagement.
For instance, when I am not throwing, I can manage to consistently tackle odagoron and rajang in their respective wild 4 attacks-combo ...
you know how the game rewards you?
you LOSE health cuz 75 percent of a oneshott IS STILL A ONE SHOT and god forbit it's an AOE, you lose stamina as well, and the monster still goes on as noithing happened, and might even have set up another AOE or does a quick charge that stuns you.
Additionally, I don't agree with people advising to run FOCUS on Greatsword, as from my testing, expecially in multiplayer, Monsters attack too randomly for the tackle to have enough time to be performed, in addition to the fact that it eats stamina, and you have even less time to recover it.
A can only be as good as the game allows me to be ... if the game takes the controller away from me, doesn't give me the tools with bad RNG and actively criminalizes doing certain kind of content and using certain builds ...
how can I be so wrong in seeking victory in a battlefield that wasn't rigged from the start?
But also, my question is why someone knowingly uses tackle into a big hit instead of just not being there in the first place? odo is one thing, but face tanking a rajang is 3head energy, knowing full well it's almost guaranteed to do a follow up immediately.
Time and place for tackle and a rajang combo'ing ain't it.
However, to be even slightly constructive; focus is good for GS but it doesn't mean you're landing full charge hits for free. Also the game allows room for consistent improvement, its the entire design of the game tbh.
They aren't here to improve, or seek advice. They're here to whine incessantly about why the game is to blame for them being terrible at it.
so i can laugh on his comment about him :P
ok you got me there lmao
No it's way simpler and without evil intent.
I was just assuming to find people that were able to enjoy something DESPITE the shortcomings of such thing, having no shame or not feeling forced into admitting them.
Alas, complacency and apathy is the name of the game.
The never ending tragedy of man's sad little story.
It seems to me you're trying to find any means to justify your fun in a game. Yet no matter how hard you try, you can't reach it. If it's forced, shut off the screen, stand up, and unironically touch grass.
Sure, it's not the perfect game for everyone. Nothing is. People have different wishes and expectations. If you change something to meet one person's wishes, it'll now not be nice for another person.
But you don't seem to be enjoying much of anything at all about this game. Constantly complaining about everything in yet another thread.
eeeh ... I was hoping that would be the case ...
but this is litterally the only game i have installed and that I haven't finishes, cuz my steam library is small and i usually finish everything
But i don't want to hate the game and complain either ... I KNOW the game is bad for someone like me, and I just wanted to express my opinions and frustrations about it.
Besides the expected low effort name calling, I have seen some real wisdom from some people here that despite disagreeing and not liking the game, helped me see things differently.
I am really grateful for that
