Just keep in mind that Rise did a lot of unique things that aren't normally a thing in Monster Hunter. It's a largely experimental game in terms of mechanics. Well, World also did some things different but in purely mechanical terms it's much closer to what Monster Hunter is like. You're not zooming around the battlefield or the map, your feet are for the most part planted to the ground and you rely on your weapon's normal moveset to do the job, no wirebug tricks.
That's what I meant, Rise is an outlier when it comes to combat. You get way more mobility and options because of wirebug mechanics. Monster Hunter was never about speed, it was always about slower, methodical combat and commitment to your attacks. Very much like a fighting game in that regard. I often call MH a PVE fighting game because of that.
Now, if you want more action like MH Rise, you'd better off looking at stuff like DMC or God Eater, hell PSO 2 too why not or that new game, what was it, wild hearts or something.
better with friends.
nice choice.
yeah, i dont recommend getting expansion content unless you really enjoy the base content. the game gets more difficult, not easier.
