Monster Hunter 3,4, and Gen anthology--would you buy?

I know I would. There is s slim chance that MH6 will be shown this year, but an actual release is bare minimum probably sometime in 2024.

So while we wait, couldn't Capcom put a dev team on creating an anthology? I think the best way to do this would be to leave MH 1 and 2 out because I doubt there would be much interest in those and have the collection include MH3 Ult, MH4 Ult, and MH Gen Ult with all their respective DLC. Toss in some graphical improvements/QOL improvements, cross play online and boom I think everyone is happy.

Would this interest people?

if they just ported the games without any improvements whatsoever people will still play them
my friend regularly asks me when mhgu (his favourite game) will finally come to pc, i want mh4u because it's my (and a lot of other people's) favourite game and also the best, and we all want mh3u just so we can finally play online multiplayer without a wii u

The dude with the weird name speaks the truth, even now there's still people playing MHFU, 3U and 4U no different than years ago, sure there's less people but the games themselves are timeless.

ok. This pretty much confirms what i was thinking, the player base would be happy if an anthology was made and also I think it would make a lot of money for the MonHun dev team.

Give me the option to skip cutscenes like Rise and im in.
Got 3U, 4U, Gen and GenU already, but would gladly buy it as an anthology on another console to play with new people.

Capcom could make an anthology port. The big issue is who is going to host the server? Online is a big deal for monster hunter now. Without it, it's going to fail.

Nope, im not really interested in those at all.

Would be cool to have freedom unite and third portable with g rank tho.

I would buy a PC version of 4U or GU in a heartbeat, even if it was literally just upscaled visuals (like the Switch version) and 60 fps unlock.

But I don't think it will happen. Doesn't make sense for Capcom to oversaturate their own market. They'll want as many people as possible to buy and play the next game as soon as it comes out, porting other MH games to PC is only going to compete with that objective. Also, they probably don't want their next Monster Hunter game to just be an old port, it'll ruin the momentum the franchise has right now.

I personally would love a 3U, 4U, GU PC port. The emulators can already play this at 120fps, and to be able to play this like that, but being able to actually play with other people (online community in the emulator side isn't that big) on PC/ current gen consoles will be such a huge improvement. I already play those 3 games on the emu, but being able to play with a bigger online community is definitely a big plus.

Yes, those games were awesome and actually difficult unlike gen 5
