What does Unga Bunga mean in regards to MHW?
I can't tell if it means you are doing something smart or brainless. Online responses seem to be mixed when I look it up.

It means playing with any weapon without full knowledge, you know, smashing the same combo over and over again, and do not understanding the mechanics of said weapon, playing brainless brute force and usually annoying your partners

Yeah it's like people who keep clutch clawing Rajang and getting combo-countered repeatedly in the same fight - although in my defence, I do it because I know I can survive it and it opens him up and holds him still long enough for my team to do some good hits on him, lol. Works better with Furious Rajang instead of a regular Rajang, though.

Just generally means not even trying to play "efficiently" like, right now the absolute TRUE unga-bunga playstyle is joining Alatreon quests without bringing an Elemental weapon I.E all those nerds joining with Lightbreak or Safi'Jiiva blast weapons, and hoping that eventually they'll actually beat the damn thing (or rather, their team mates will, for them)

Previous unga-bungas includes people trying to fight Tempered Kirin without bothering to even go above negative Thunder resistance or slot in Thunder Resistance 3 and Paralysis Resistance 3, for example. I'm just gonna keep throwing myself at this brick wall using this generic meta set I got from the internet, until the thing dies!
Something that doesn't require thinking or tactic.

In MHW I'd say it's when you slap on Temp/RS Mantle and just mash attack. I go unga when I realize we have a dedicated healer. You gonna chug Mega pot every time I get hit? All right, I'm done dodge rolling.

To be fair all of Kirins attacks are telegraphed extremely well. You don't need any particular armour skills to fight him. You just have to pay attention and don't commit to really long animations unless he's ko'd or otherwise forced to stand still for a few seconds.

Yeah, but that's if you've learned the fight or you know what you're doing. Most of the people you encountered trying to fight Kirin just didn't, lol.

They'd feed him carts endlessly because they couldn't be bothered taking the necessary precautions, instead relying on it dying before all the carts were used up. I've seen far, far too many Kirin hunts end because someone got stunned or paralysed and died a senseless and avoidable death.

Only Low Rank Kirin can be excused from this, since the ability to build armour there is basically non-existent.
Unga Bunga also refers to spamming SAED with charge blade.

I still try to take full elemental resistance, learned the fight for the most part AND take a hammer.

BIG BRAIN UNGA BUNGA!
Just a new term for Leroy Jenkins move, but way prepared with bad execution.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
