Welp. If they are planning to buy the DLC i suggest they wait till the issues are fixed.
Monsters in LR/HR don’t need clutch claw anyways.
But you can’t mod yourself a gf
Git gud
If you like 3 minute hunts, don't enter Master Rank.

Riiiight.
Lol, and the "balance" changes that were made to the base game for new attacks, and weapons they don't have access to? The base game has been downgraded due to rebalancing for Iceborne purchaser exclusive mechanics.
The clutch controls suck for most of the weapons I main.
I have to press in RS to activate the claw while aiming with LBG and then press B.
Three button inputs and if one of them isn't pressed or if the game just decides to drop an input or freeze (which it has started doing insanely frequently lately), I'm dropping a bomb at my feet or fighting a lock-on camera.
Which isn't that big of a deal most of the time but it's still a massive pain in the ass.
Same thing for Lance. Half the time the game doesn't care I've pressed RS and I'm stuck burning stamina in Counter Claw mode.
It can't be that hard to design controls without this much contextual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in them.
That's ignoring the auto-aim lock on that just never actually grabs the part you're pointing at if the monsters moves a single pixel between the time you press B and the claw connects.
It could've been designed and implemented a lot better.
They did it to offset the whining about defender gear in LR/HR.
Monsters take less damage so the weapons aren't as good and the enrage a lot more frequently so they deal more damage making the armor a requirement for anyone learning the game.
Happy now?
this or the later ones where charm tables were a thing....ugh
The armor isn't a requirement, and no one learns the game. I played with a friend who lost his save file and went back through the base game using the Defender gear. He blazed through everything because he dealt massive damage and took nothing, and he's not even that good.
Couldn't tell if you were kidding, so I responded as if you weren't. Monsters taking less damage is a nerf to all weapons, not just Defender weapons.
