30 FPS VS 60 FPS

Hello,

i play the game with 60 FPS all the time and now i use 30 FPS. Is there a disadvantage from using 30FPS? As far as i can see i feel no big difference.

That's incorrect LUL.

For certain weapons, no it's not. Longsword in particular swings faster at higher framerates.

Pierce ammo also ticks differently at different framerates.

Well, of course there is a disadvantage: 30 fps BLOW.
I mean, it looks really, really bad.The 30 fps are a disadvantage in itself.

Why in the world of all that is PC holy would u want to play MHW at 30 fps? I'm playing it at 144fps and there is a pretty big difference lol

If they ever find a way to make 30 fps on PC feel as smooth as it feels on consoles that would be game changing for a LOT of people. Until then, 30 fps on pc is pretty much a last resort type of measure.

Those with performance issues should use a fps limiter(eg RTSS) and limit their fps to 50 or 40. Not perfect but still way way better feel than 30.

When you really cant see the difference of 30 to 60 FPS really be happy.
Or your PC was so ♥♥♥♥ that on 60FPS lock you were on around 30 anyway.
I think it was that because the difference is really insane.

I've tested that myself on IB release when the game ran like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Some weapons and moves are actually slower in 30 fps vs 60. Depends on the weapon. From what I've played with until the patch a couple days ago dropped, SA was inarguably the worst. The delay vs 60 fps was legit about 0.1-0.2 seconds for some of the moves.

Edit: also tailraiders actually run slower in 30 fps, tested that with a friend of mine as well.

Thanks for all the responses, interesting to know. I try atm the no limit mode and it feels like i have a easier time to hit.
