What's the best Iceborne Palico weapon?
Previously it was the Deviljho one because the Palico weapons were bugged to have 100% affinity and that had the highest raw damage.

Now though with hunts being so much longer is it worth it to bring a status weapon like poison or is it still going for the raw of the master rank Deviljho?

I've always used the Low Rank, High Rank and now Master Rank Kitty-of-the-Valley Rod. Paralysis once or twice a fight, usually.

You can also use the Baan Ball thing, for sleep, if that's more your thing, or something that has Blast I guess. I'd never bother setting up my Palico for damage or its ability to do sever damage, though. I know they're not actually that bad at doing damage, especially with Palico Rally, but eh.

Most people I've met seem to just go with fashion over functionality anyway.

Kitty of the Valley. Free para is a lifesaver.

Same, your palico doesn't do too much when it comes to weapons and actual damage to the monsters so i always run it with an elemental/ailment weapon

Personally I almost always use either the Kitty of the Valley or Baan Ball and their MR versions. The ability to get 'free' paralyzes (Or sleep on monsters you can't paralyze) has always been great for me as someone who uses mainly Hammer and Bow. Gives me a great opening to either stack up some KO or DPS with Bow. Also gives me an opening for some part softening/wounding if I choose that.

I´m using a wep I forgot what it´s called but it does sleep status, I was surprised at how often it seems to happen during a hunt. Reall helps get those tasty full phials AXE mode SAEDS in as I´m mainly CB.

I either use the paralize or sleep weapons. I usually use the sleep one.

One of the status weapons. Any of the status weapons. Personally I'm partial to blast because it adds an extra 600-900 damage to your cat and comes attached to some of the highest statting weapons. Given I run DPS cat in general, it's just generally nice.
