Launch item packs? How to get?

How do I get the launch item packs for having both Monster world and Iceborne? I am completely new to the game. I started the game and got to my cabin trying to figure out how to get it. Can someone explain how I'm supposed to get these items?

Claim it from housekeeper cat, same process as claiming any DLC

Then my next question is why doesn't the housekeeper cat have them for me? Do I need to do something to get them available with the housekeeper cat?

Go to your room.....talk to housekeeper. Claim addons, etc. in menu given. For the launch pack items, you will get those literally on loading in game for the first login.
There are basically just goodies you get. Like a stash of mega potions you can use.

make sure the boxes are checked in your dlc list in steamlibrary?

They're not showing up in my dlc list in steamlibrary which must be why I'm not seeing them in game. So, how do I get them in my steamlibrary?

if you have proof of purchase, that sounds like a 'steam support ticket' to me. I didn't have to do anything special to get the launch item packs.

me, i kinda don't like them, so unchecking the boxes in the dlc list stops them from taking up space in my inv.

You get the packs when you claim your daily bonuses. Try checking your inventory if some of the items are already inside it. Maybe you mashed the button too quickly and mislooked it.
