Skull Icon not showing up

Is this new or what, what happened to the skull Icon when monsters were weak enough to capture.

I think you need more research points on the monster for it to show up.

Are you in multiplayer? If you are that just kinda happens sometimes, even at max research, has been there since game launch.

Skull icon seems to sometimes get delayed until monster actually starts limping, maybe it has something to do with enrage preventing monster from fleeing, not sure never really tested it.

You need to pick up tracks until the scoutfly bar fills all the way up. The icons only show up when your scoutflies have level 3 tracking on the target.

So it is not a "feature" of the master rank? My flies are maxed out all the time when hunting monsters, so that is not the reason why I'm not getting the skull icon. I can do it without, but it helps sometimes when fighting and smashing the monster with your combos. Just a quick look and you know that you should stop, if you want to catch it. :D

maybe u just WTFPWN him too fast.
or sometimes the "exhausted" icon takes over. or red angry one.
watch for the limping etc.

Even when the skull does appear, I sometimes wonder if the other players even pay attention to it on some of the capture quests I've attended.

This has nothing to do with level research, but with the scoutflies level. The skull appears at lvl 3 (max).
But yeah, I just did a multiplayer quest where I did collect tracks and maxed out a monster and the skull didn't appear. Super fun when it's a shrieking legiana that never lands and never limps.

Happens to me, too, at max scoutfly levels, when I'm helping friends in co-op. Quite annoying.
