How much money am I supposed to have?

Hi I just started doing high ranking quests and I get like 5400-9000 money.
I have so much money. I don't know what to use it on. And also points. I have hundreds of thousands.
What am I supposed to do with this

Use it on whatever. As long as you set the boat thing to trade in items, you have a nonstop supply of money anyway.

Buy as many powercharms as you can to increase your damage

Powercharm effects don't stack. So, there is no point in buying more than two since a Powercharm will stack with a Powertalon. Same goes with Armorcharms and Armortalons.

Having made a bunch of master rank gear already, i've not really dropped at all in money.

remember, you gotta upgrade armor as well as buy it, as well as buy weapons. they get expensive. Also! for the points, make sure you are using the Argosy, using the passive buffs for your herb garden thing, and th tailraider safari.

Welcome to Monster Hunter, where you end up with 28.000.000 zennies and have no idea what to spend it on apart MR upgrades which by the time you get all materials for it anyway you'll already have made a net benefit in zennies with all the hunts you've done.

Eventually the weapon and armor upgrade costs get way more expensive, normal play even with doing random grinding for sets and such I ran out of money at one point.

Then farmed KT forever and had so much mats to sell money hasn't been a problem since.

I literally have over a billion zenny and like 30K research points.

I kinda wish it was gone just so I could feel something again when I use currency.

There was a time I was desperate for RP and wished very badly they would create a system for converting money to points, like funding the researchers or something. Even if the exchange was expensive it would make sense when they make things like layered armour cost a fortune in points.

But then again I really scraped this game content wise. It's probably not possible to create a game focused around farming where you don't have these problems.

People thought they had a lot of money around 300k-400k for MHW 1. They were wrong when they had to make different sets of armor and weapons to test things out. You're not okay until you have over 1 million zenny.

When you get to end game and have to craft new gears it'll be quite expensive. Even with the High rank gears or those tempered gears would cost about 500 000 in total to build a full set and upgrading it to max.

Not sure how much the end games gears will cost to get to max refine level but I'm sure it'll be a pretty penny.

I usually only spend money when I have to buy trap tools or some item I don't care to want to wait to farm for me, If you have a bunch of sets you want to make and fully upgrade, remove the limit for, and max out, it does end up costing a lot. That's really it.

I think the money system is like that because you split the money if you play together, so those people usually don't have enough money.

Get the Bandit mantle (Hunter Tool) and the Palarang (Felyne Tool) asap. Using the Bandit Mantle w/ Mount & Plunder (Felyne Skill) will cause monsters to drop a crap ton of account items that you can sell for big money. Otherwise, farm Kulve Taroth whenever it comes about. Don't worry about the armor/weapons cause it's all obsolete until a master rank version of the raid comes out. Just sell all the materials for big money.

Also, do quests that have a zenny and use a lucky voucher. That doubles the zenny reward (remember that if other hunters join your quest, the reward gets split).


It's super easy to make money in this game, just build a set that will get you into master rank and save everything. I'm currently HR90/MR20 and I've probably earned/spent about 3 million zenny/100K research points since starting Iceborne. It's really not hard to come across either in the new content.

That's just part of mh endgame. I'm sitting at over 1 million zenny rn myself from all my grinding in high rank. Nice to not have to worry about money and just get whatever gear I want lmao
