use 2 uragaan piece with teostra and you have a super sexy lance, which never lose sharpness.
but monsters sadly learned new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tricks, which can quickly kill unaware lancers.
like teostra with its new toaster move or super agressive jho creating deathzones.
other classes suffer under similiar issues for example
i find the whole inputs feel more sluggish now, it takes some time till you get used to it

However...
The lance can actually block ordinarily unblockable attacks without 'Guard' or 'Guard Up', if the power guard is held for a second or two.
'Guard' reduces the chip damage and stamina cost of blocking. This obviously helps when blocking large, or normally unblockable attacks but doesn't enable you to block them by iteself.
From what I understand people recommend only going as high as Guard 3
I'm a lance main and it is much better now than before.
