PS4 controller and ui mods and other questions

Currently busy with Uni work and just seen the Iceborne PC news

-Does the PS4 controller still work?

- Will ui mods still work or will it cause any problems with the new anti cheat?
The only mod I use is a ds4 mod which changes the ui with PS4 button prompts.

- What does the Anti Cheat do exactly?..
Different posts either says different things or just complain that it takes up a massive amount of CPU

- I heard alt tabbing out of the game will crashed Iceborne, does having a second monitor cause any problems or just if I click/tab out the game?


Since I had intensive Chemotherapy for Hodgkin Lymphoma, I've had really bad wrist problems so been using my PS4 controller through Steam for the majority of the games I play now.
If the PS4 controller no longer works properly, does the Steam controller properly work if I brought one? (Been thinking about getting a Steam Controller for a different game)

On twitter people are PC gamers to get a PS4 but,
I played MHW for 300+hrs on my PS4 but because of how slow the loading times of any of my PS4 games, its highly unlikely I will return to my Playstation.

1. Yes, I'm using my Dualshock just fine.
2. I so would like to know too.
3. It's a malware. It doesn't block any cheats and only makes CPU usage higher.
4. Doesn't crash for me, already tried over 10x.

On DS4:
Steam can natively detect a Dualshock 4 and use it.
Monster Hunter World/Iceborne update natively added button layouts for DS4 on top of Xbox.

Go in to the option in the main menu, one of the option should be button layout, just called type 1, type 2. Its one of them

The Dualshock 4 prompts are a bit bugged in some cases. Changing to special ammo for the HBG still shows XBOX controller prompts instead of O.

Good to hear they added the button layout. Hopefully they will fix the bugged prompts in a future patch.
