is PC worth the switch from PS4?
ive had MHW on ps4 since launch but recently this year finally built my pc and have been slowly switchin over with every game... so i was wondering is switching to pc worth the reset of grinding thru everything? (:

Absolutely. Super improved loading times, better graphic options, improved frame rate, the list goes on!

I know people will be mad when i say this but i recently had a friend who played on PS4 for months and decided to switch to PC and was fine with grinding again for weapons and armor with exception being he hated the fact that he had to grind all those rare deco's again so he just installed a mod that gave him the deco's that he had on PS4 then never used it again, just a thought you want to consider if you wanna switch.

When April update go live, hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yes
No point in buying PS4 version anymore if you have a PC that can run MHW smoothly
PC has mods, 60+ fps, HD texture pack, better loading times, and probably more stuff I'm forgetting. Gameplay is definitely superior.

But we don't know how long you've played on ps4 or how many rare decos etc you have, if you play with friends or not because cross play isn't a thing, if you're able/willing to troubleshoot your pc if something prevents you from playing. Only you know if it's worth starting over.

Many already provided fair points, but there's another good reason why you should: No online fees for PC :winter2019coolyul:

PC will catch up to consoles soon too.

It is worth it unless you're a lazy idiot that gets red-faced over troubleshooting.

Even if you still hesitate because you don't want to grind what you already have again, you can use a save editor to recreate your PS4 save

oh shoot ok, gotta look up a video how to do that lol. ♥♥♥ it might as well get it, all the mods for weapon looks, amor and stuff is a huge reason for switching besides performance (:

depends on the power of your PC. if you got a nice top end GPU and a solid CPU, and a 2k monitor, you can literally have the best visual experience the games creators offer.

It's fairly easy. Before Iceborne, you just dragged the files into a folder that's with your MHW.exe, and then run the game. I think now, most of them use a "mod manager" of sorts called Stracker's Loader. But yeah, a lot of them provide installation instructions that are easy to follow.

One or three mods is fine, but I'd advise against using too many mods together right now though, since Iceborne just launched and they're still releasing patches and updates frequently, which can break your mod compatibility. It can be annoying when you find out you can't run the game with your mods because of a new update, only to uninstall them one by one, so you know what's causing the issue, then waiting for the mod author to update their files so it runs in the new version of the game.

its totally worth it imo.
on a ssd all the loadtimes are cut down to 3 seconds. the graphics look stunning, and like someone else said before.. mods!

my most favorite mod right now is Blood EFX, that makes it feel more like older MH titles that had blood effects, adds so much weight to the combat. but also cuter handler face is mandatory :P

reshade with just a little touch of vibrance, HDR and addaptive sharpen can make it look even better.
