Iceborne Blast Insect Glaive Build

I'm wondering what gear and skills I would need to make a good blast IG build. I am past Shara Ishvalda,but haven't done much past that. Any help is appreciated.

MR Luna Ruin and a blast dust kinsect. I use MR Teo waist and it happens to have blast attack 2, but it probably isnt worth slotting in.

Nice MT + razor sharp, doesn't styx have like 260 raw in MR? Get yourself a better weapon lad. Brachy is better at this rate if you favour high blast.

Except this is literally a case of Brachy being better in nearly every single way. You have more augment slots to play with, it has the same raw, and more base blast. I recommended Ruin because it has the highest raw out of the current blast glaives afaik, but it still sucks.

Why do you have Master's Touch AND Razor Sharp with a weapon that already has a lot of white sharpness but never gets to purple?

Sorry but your build sucks. Having 3 things that do the same thing and don't actually increase your damage is just a waste of skills.

Edit: Master's touch ensures that as long as you crit you don't lose sharpness. You don't crit all the time and razor sharp (that already is on the weapon) just slows the sharpness decrease. For the third "thing" that does the same thing as the previous two I mentioned can you enlighten me because I don't know what are you talking about.

If you want to use Luna Styx, you can ditch Teostra crap and MT for something more skill efficient. There are plenty of good options that don't have come with trash like Latent Power and Heat Guard.

If you want to use MT, you're better off using anything else with high raw and purple sharpness + handicraft decos, like Shara or Guild Palace or Acidic Glavenus IGs.

If you want blast, Brachydios IG will get you a lot more blast damage because not only it has higher blast with the same raw, but has way more augment slots.

Your current build has low raw, low elemental, and a way over the top amount of white sharpness that you'll never use. It's just bad.

Ouch... I edited my previous post so there's plenty explanation to that. If you want to be a smart ass just show me an actual build. The only skill I'm not running with is the meta istigator thing. Please, I insist. Prove me wrong with a screenshot with a better build

Too bad I'm not a meta chaser. I just read that the guy just beat shara so he can't build styx anyway. Brachy seems fine but still... I'm not even using it anymore. He asked for an IG build and I tried to give him something.

Yes I do. That's literally the first thing anyone ever does if they're making a dps oriented build.

Having Crit Eye 7 and WEX 3 with 10% natural affinity already gives you 80% affinity on weak points, and 100% affinity on tenderised weak points. That makes Razor Sharp either extremely ineffective or completely useless to have.

The only thing I can think of is that you're just not hitting weak points to actually make use of WEX, in which case you should probably stop saying things like
