Rathalos are male, Rathians are female.

I'll let you do the math from there.

Rathalos (red) is male and Rathian (green) is female and they are a couple. If one is in trouble the other will come to help.

Pretty sure they can hurt each other though.

You can probably use a dung pod in this case

they can, i watched one of weiss's youtube compilations and they had one where rathian and rathalos targeted a hunter between them, and both fired a fireball at the same time, missed, and hit eachother. was quite funny.

It was even possible for them to poison each other in older gens, dont know if this is still a thing

You can tell that the Rathlings are a angry couple that throw with stuff at each other, pretty scary :)

This is very common in MHW, as the game tries to simulate a real wild enviroment. It's pretty cool, actually, but you'll have to learn how to use Dung Pods. Only one is enough to shoo a monster away. Always pack a bunch, and pick up Dungs in every oportunity.

Welcome to HR where yes you will constantly have more than one monster on you.

Dung Pods are your friend

Oh boy he hasn't met the pickle or the b52 yet.

Yep, they are actually the same species, just a male/female counterpart

There is an elder dragon who does a similar thing, only so much worse...

And a B-52 who is either hellbent on hunter destruction, or everybody's best friend

Once it turns into azRath/Urag/B52 combo the situation gets proper hairy.

he was witness to santa's passing, and with his dying breath santa said, "it is up to you Bazelgues to save Christmas!" he shed a single tear, and with a outcry of sadness he was off to deliver the gifts based off santa's list.

it just turns out monsters and hunters alike are all on the naughty list for one reason or another, and since there is no coal in the new world he substitutes high explosive warts.

reading this and saying it aloud its clear im tired and should go to bed.

Wildfruit and Bazelnut is my favourite pre-hunt snack.

Question. Why waste time with all the cannons and barricades and ballistae and boats to repel Zorah Magdaros, when we could have funnelled money into building a massive slinger that fires titanic sized dung pods at it?

Elder Dragon or not, if you got hit in the face with a dung bomb the size of a small hamlet, you'd run for the ocean, no questions about it.
