Leshen in MHW is the apotheosis of the bad game design - absolutely nothing difficult, just a huge damage sponge. I have no idea why the devs think 50 minutes fights aren't just extremely boring.

I've been wanting to ask someone who's soloed Ancient Leshen - how do you survive his snare attack when there aren't other players around to pull you out?

You can deal by 2 ways
1. Facetank - if ur weapon is melee , fortify twice , 200 hp and Jegras are not here when u r pinned , u can survive . Chance is Even higher with rocksteady mantle . But please don’t choose this option unless there is no choice . Example , When u are clearing jegras , Leshen teleport behind tree and start spamming this pinned move 4 times .

2. Dodge - he perform special hand animation before doing this move . This is pretty obvious .. just slowly rising his hand and immediately touching the ground . And note that there are 2 version of this move . Normal version and powered up version . Power up version summon 3 pin root in single move . Dealing with this move over 30 min is not easy . That’s why I add facetank option

Worth it or not ? I cannot say .. it highly depend on individual by individual . As for me , I did this because my friend said me that “ you are not true HR 999 player if u can’t solo Extreme Behemoth and Ancient Leshen “ .. that’s why I did it

What the cost ? Over 20 max potions

About difficulty . He is not hard if u have good team with good roles . For solo it’s more than damage sponge monster .

- you are the only target for marked
- Phase 4 bird aura is pure b itch
- Phase 4 Non stop teleport is b itch
- Leshen hide behind the tree and start spamming pin move when u are fighting jegras .

That’s real nightmare

Oh there is even easier way if ur weapon involved shield .. just add Guard up jewel . you can easily block it !

Good Job, solo him can be annoying but in my opinion it feels great if you manage it
