Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World

Statistiche:
Which event quests are worth doing?
Hopefully I'll get to all of them, but this is my first time playing during an event and I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the new quests that appeared today!

Anything considered a "must get"? Seems a lot of them reward armor or rare materials.

The Kulve Taroth siege is also active, but I don't know how that works either. Should I start it myself or join one?

So much things to farm. For a newbie this is very overwhelming, as op said. Thanks guys!

Yep welcome to Monster Hunter. Play it for the "thrill of the hunt". They say if you go in wanting an item it will continue to not drop for you. But when you dont want it, it will show up.
Messaggio originale di Zarcos:
EDIT: It was already said earlier, but The Greatest Jagras event quest drops TONS of decos, and it's the most efficient way to get decos, including the rare ones. All you do in that quest is simply get the Jagras to throwup on you, which will drop 4-6 shiny pickups on the ground, which will always be feystones. He can throwup a total of 30 feystones before he no longer drops them, at that point you just enter your menu and select "Return from quest" which will let you keep all the feystones you collected. Super easy and quick. Also, I believe this quest only comes around 1 time a year (which is now), so best to spend a good amount of time getting the easy decos!

Nice! I don't remember seeing that quest in the list, but I may have missed it. Going to check now. So I just stand there and let him throw up on me!? :)
All of them.

You have plenty of time.

Just do what events show up on SOS, so you have a group for whatever monster it is.
They're all worth doing, for the unique encounters and general monotony breaking fun you can find there. That said, the most notable ones are:
  • Gajalaka Outbreak! - High Rank Queen Beetle armour
  • Vespoid Infestation! - Low Rank Queen Beetle armour
  • USJ: Gold Star Treatment - Azure Star Palico gear
  • USJ: Blazing Azure Stars - Azure Star gear
  • Where Sun Meets Moon - Downy Crake Dual Blades + Hammer
  • Timberland Troublemakers - Bristly Crake Hammer
  • Every Hunters Dream - Wyvern Ignition Greatsword, currently the best Greatsword
  • Wiggle Me This - Wiggler Hat
  • Scrapping With The Shamos - Sealed Eyepatch
  • Egg Lovers United - Kulu Ya-Ku headgear
  • Midnight Mayhem - Shooting Star and Sapphire Star Lance
  • A Flash In The Pan - Shadow Shades head armour
  • A Rush Of Blood - Mega Man Palico gear
  • A Royal Pain - Mosswine Mask + Faux Felyne layered headgear
  • Mosswinin' and Dinin' - Mosswine Mask + Faux Felyne layered headgear
  • Kings Know No Fear - Wiggler Hat + Sealed Eyepatch layered headgear
  • Code: Red - Dante armour set + Dante's Devil Sword Chargeblade
  • SDF: Silent, Deadly and Fierce - Bayek layered armour and the Assassins mantle
There's also many grindable quests, which I'm not going to list, but they offer various rewards like armour spheres, above average decoration drop rates, meal vouchers etc. Also the Arch Tempered Event quests which all provide top tier gear and most of the time layered armour as a reward for beating it. You can't afford to miss those if you're serious about reaching the true end game.

Also for posterity sake, A Visitor From Eorzea (Extreme) is needed for the Drachen layered armour set and some Guild Card stuff, and Contract: Woodland Spirit is necessary for the Geralt and Ciri layered armour, Ciri's armour set, and the Witcher SnS and Dual Blades too.

Sure, it's available. It's also unpleasant and barely worth the time.

I kinda regret doing it, personally.

Yeah, I just ran it once, and I was like "♥♥♥♥, I gotta do this 3 more times?"

You know a fight is annoying when slaying Luna is the easy part.

The assassin mantle is neat and all, but, I don't think it's worth the effort. It's only really good for greatsword meme stuff with true charge wakeups from sleep.

Well, at least the mantle comes with a bunch of titles and a card backdrop lol

EDIT: whelp, now I know why no one ever talks about and/or wears the Bayek Layered armor - it's really ugly.

I made great use of the Assassins Mantle when grinding for all the rare endemic life!

I mean, I would have, had it actually provided the Ghillie effect to stop them running away and also had I not already caught everything before it released. To its credit though that movement speed boost is kinda worth it when you're doing gathering runs and stuff. Sort of.

I use it mostly for those Tempered track missions and collecting fucium and coral crystal, lol.

And yeah Bayek armour is not so great. Why not Ezio or Altair? :steamsad: and why didn't they include a piercing eagle cry sound when you leapt from a significantly high place? Sadness!
-"The Greatest Jagras" do this because they will remove it soon. its great to get decos
-"Every Hunters Dream" for the wyvern ignition impact
-"Greeting the Gluttons" for free vouchers?
-"Daily Limited Bounties"

I did this a few times last night. Holy cow, 30 decos per run! Even if they're mostly level 1, that's awesome.

Good thing I had been preparing myself to do the tempered Kirin quest (Anja bow and proper gear) because you have to do it and be HR 50 before you can do Greatest Jagras. I ended up beating Kirin last night too. Very tense!

Edit: I think Greeting the Gluttons is a permanent event quest...maybe? I feel like it's been there since I started playing.

Greatest Jargas is good but too much time spent for a lot of common decos
If you can wait build a LBG Styx with water ammo then slaughter "The name's lavasioth" unlike greatest jargas which is enhanced, this one is just a big Lavasioth so it's much easier
Also decos level isn't everything, it's just the slot, rarity is what you want, for example attack jewel is rarity 7 level 1 is one of the most rarest jewel
