Error 400-MW1 Unable to do event quests
getting an error I havent seen before, stops me from joining or posting any event quests. I have the game installed for a pretty long time on my machine, and nothing has changed on my rig since i last played this game a couple of months ago.

Anyone have any suggestions?

This error comes up whenever there's a hiccup on the steam servers, just create a new online session to try to re-establish connection, have to wait sometimes if the problem persists server side.

Il give it a while and see what happens, was joining a friends session who was able to host event quests and tried a few more times in a few private sessions with no luck. Will likely try a reinstall as a matter of course tomorrow if theres no change.

Thanks for the reply, if anything else comes to find for resolution it'd be appreciated

ok so have an update: after some googling some people bypasses this error by connecting to a VPN when posting their event quests, this does seem to work for me also.

Anyone know a better way to resolve that doesnt need third party software? im not particularly knowledgeable on networking issues but im guessing settings on my HUB will need tinkering with.

Same for me. Most likely something is wrong with the server. Can't play any event quest...

Same for me, most likely the cause of this is the current event.

I'm in the US with the same issue...

Same error here, also in US. Edit. Hey maybe the servers are getting overloaded with players?

sure, the solution is: nothing.

they use the general steam announce master list thing to help your session be visible for people in your region, but there's no actual server hosting.

your connection is p2p. any strict router settings deeply affect the quality. a tiny interruption in the connection - insta d/c, without rhyme or reason. All 'fixes' have been just unbased superstition, and these problems have existed since 2018.

capcom never had to provide servers for monster hunter before, psn took care of it in the past. now on pc, there's no psn to pick up the slack. capcom, instead of paying for servers just went 'lol have fun peer to peer guys.'

and that's where we're at.

next mh title? get it on ps5 or ps6. at least the connection will be ok. sure the framerate on pc is stellar, but whats the use if you're unable to have a glorious mp experience online in 2022?

Thx for the thoughtful answer. The problem fixed by itself today. no idea how no idea why but im okay with that. Got myself MH Rise on switch to avoid stuff like this..

mine are now working again too - just a reminder to those who get this in the future that getting a VPN on hooked into a different region did bypass this for me, hopefully it works for you too.
