Il give it a while and see what happens, was joining a friends session who was able to host event quests and tried a few more times in a few private sessions with no luck. Will likely try a reinstall as a matter of course tomorrow if theres no change.
Thanks for the reply, if anything else comes to find for resolution it'd be appreciated
Anyone know a better way to resolve that doesnt need third party software? im not particularly knowledgeable on networking issues but im guessing settings on my HUB will need tinkering with.
sure, the solution is: nothing.
they use the general steam announce master list thing to help your session be visible for people in your region, but there's no actual server hosting.
your connection is p2p. any strict router settings deeply affect the quality. a tiny interruption in the connection - insta d/c, without rhyme or reason. All 'fixes' have been just unbased superstition, and these problems have existed since 2018.
capcom never had to provide servers for monster hunter before, psn took care of it in the past. now on pc, there's no psn to pick up the slack. capcom, instead of paying for servers just went 'lol have fun peer to peer guys.'
and that's where we're at.
next mh title? get it on ps5 or ps6. at least the connection will be ok. sure the framerate on pc is stellar, but whats the use if you're unable to have a glorious mp experience online in 2022?
