Gem drop rates?
So, are mhw wikis actually correct for gem drop rates because I think I farmed between like 10-20 anja missions still with no gem. It says silver rewards boxes are 6% and 12% for gold but it doesn't really seem that way.

just RNG man. I farmed odo investigations with at leazst one silver and gold rewards like 25 times before I got its gem back when I actually needed it..... now that I don't need it, I get it like 50% of the time I fight an odo now, and with no rewards for parts (tempered)

event quest normaly work better
i got lot of anja gems from "a nose for an eye"

did "thronetaker" for nergi gems
and
"a rush of a blood" for ordo
or
"code red" which offer anja, ordo, rathalos and teostra in one quest and you normally end with at least one gem of them

keep doing investigations and be sure to break both the head and tail as they both have chance for a gem drop

This, I was grinding investigations hard the last few days and i got a ton of gems, especially from gold rewards, sometimes even from silver.

Break its parts, capture it and wear the gala set/ kirin set/ legiana set for increased rewards, also try to get the food skill "lucky cat".

Do the weekly bounties to get a gold wyverian print if possible. You can trade the print for a gem of your choice at the elder melder.

Use Kiranico instead of the Fextralife Wiki for technical info, theres still some stuff that was in the base game in January 2018 that the Fextralife wiki has wrong
