but lance deal dmg depending on the hitzone for example if the hitzone weaker to impact than slash, then it deal impact dmg instead.

So, confirming, the lance still picked the better of the two damage types on stabs, yes? I didn't know if they changed the formula to where Impact just did exhaust and KO but there werent parts that took more damage from it still. World nerfed so much of the meta. I'd be sad if the Lance didn't have the benefit of choosing the best type of damage per area and was just cutting like the GL is. Glad hitboxes still exist that are more resistant to cutting but not impact still.
Also lance totallly cuts tails easy lol.
Cutting or Impact.
However, the Lance is a Cutting weapon, which means that it CANNOT do Impact for the purpose of Exhaust or KO. However when it comes to dealing DAMAGE it uses whichever hitzone is higher off the cutting/impact chart.
I haven't used Shield Bash, but its likely that specific attack does deal KO/Exhaust.
Impact Mantle makes ALL attacks deal KO/Exhaust.
That is truth. I use grinder, just one jewel seems to speed up the slow sharpening (Also noticed they slowed down carving, just the beginning animation frames, wonder if it was to punish tail carvers lol...keep killing it.) I was playing around with the Odo challenge and didn't know legiana made a lance with white on it. Going to poke around with the lances (no pun) but while the sharpness loss is fast, it hits friggen fast and hard if you do it right. Nerg, I loose very little sharpness, but those bars man...you gotta have handicraft. I can't find the skill, if there is one stil, thats galves sharpness. Wish blunt was still here as well, but grinder+handicraft works great with a lot of weapons and Odo's favor is nice. Invasive though, wish it did something for the lance. The sharpness loss is great but no need for bleed protection...well in general. Don't get hit by the moves. It's only got a few, not like sergios and other prior bleed mons. Running Bazel/Lenojaw. The super shild favor is nice. I just wish the weapon counted for the 3 so you could activate 2, or a charm that was made from X monster's parts or something. Sucks to have 1 favor and not be able to activate 2. Or if Archtempereds gave 2/2 favor rather than 3/3. (We don't have them yet but just stuff I think would be nice to see...like SnS oils. Gen really did great making the game a blast to play, and this is already easier so why not lol. Just give us that 3U/4U difficulty.)
Holy crap there is a gem. I have a slot for it that I just threw in brace for no reason. Apparently item prolonger adds to the time by 30 seconds? Just reading about it and saw a youtube video. I'm going to find this thing. Glad the items are on rolls for RNG and not set in stone like in Tri/3U. Cursed tables sucked
I type a bit long and convoluted on forums, lazy typing from typing all day. But good to clarify for people. I'm just happy they never touched this function since the original PS2. I've always mained Lance for the most part late game in every game. Never bother with it early on due to sharpness and lack of skills to use it properly. Evade lancing is still stupidly OP now too. So is rush, I didn't know you could side step, reverse, and finish it with a spinning hit that does a lot of damage. You can do that spin on no rush charge and still hit hard. Think people aren't trying out the new stuff. I love the side step reposition into the jumping lunge.
also imho guard lancing is the best now because counter thrust is the hardest hitting hit on your arsenal, but you need at least 3 level of guard skil for guard lancing for certain monster
Power guard gives guard 3. Guard 4-5 does not decrease knockback because 3 is max for knockback. If you play counter guard lance a lot you dont even need guard charm or deco.
Guard is totally useless for lance if you are good. Just never use the normal block.
If by meta people mean the damage meta then if you have the skill for it it's not anywhere close to being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
