Late to the party, but how big is World + Iceborne really??
Seeing that Capcom has these games for sale I'm planning to buy both the base game and the expansion this week so I just wanna know how big is the install/file size of World and Iceborne combined? Most of the answers and discussions I found about this online were all from before the Iceborne update actually hit PC so they might not be as accurate as I want my answers to be. And most of the old answers I found aren't really in line with each other. Thanks.

im just guestimating based on the fact that from what ive heard iceborn is basically just another complete monsterhunter game as an addon and say that your looking at around 100GB maybe slightly more or it could be a lot less, but id say at the hieghest itss be like 111GB

Buying the expansion unlocks the content. What does this mean? It's already installed into the game, no extra size required. Yes, technically everyone has iceborne installed, they just need the dlc to access the content there.

The game is about 51gb now and double with the texture pack. Won't change if you buy iceborne. It works like that for compatibility reasons, helping base game players match with iceborne ones. Otherwise, the game would crash or smth.

Have fun when you get the game :mhwgood:

50GB total.
With the HD Res Pack, ~100

Basegame would be what I, and many others, may recommend for newcomers due to the MH franchise not being for everyone, ie "clunky controls", "no auto target where you go towards the monster", etc.

IB is a little harder than basegame, so watch out if you do get the master edition, but you won't be getting to it until you finish the basegame anyways

thanks for the reply and answer! don't worry i'm used to mh's "clunky controls" lol. i played a lot of the older games, g rank included so iceborne won't be a worry. world is just going to be my first recent mh game.
