Report a translation problem
The game is about 51gb now and double with the texture pack. Won't change if you buy iceborne. It works like that for compatibility reasons, helping base game players match with iceborne ones. Otherwise, the game would crash or smth.

Basegame would be what I, and many others, may recommend for newcomers due to the MH franchise not being for everyone, ie "clunky controls", "no auto target where you go towards the monster", etc.
IB is a little harder than basegame, so watch out if you do get the master edition, but you won't be getting to it until you finish the basegame anyways

thanks for the reply and answer! don't worry i'm used to mh's "clunky controls" lol. i played a lot of the older games, g rank included so iceborne won't be a worry. world is just going to be my first recent mh game.
